It's in 1/144 scale and the conversion kit is for 1/100 scale... There are fair number of gunpla modellers who do 1/100 scale mainly - me included though I use 1/144 for vinette/diorama due to the base size. Here's the 2nd 1/100 scale one I did... Last edited by dj898; 2007-01-21 at 17:37. |

Well here some images of my Xbone while i ready my SF for building.
there are some parts not painted on my xbone ... got lazy .. the thing that holds the light sabers and the back pack gray parts and also the boosters. I didnt paint the light sabers ether .... u can tell the difference between the whites of the light saber and the rest of the gundam LOL .... I didnt end up lining it with pens like somone suggested me to do the stickers really help make it look heaps better without lines ... well hope u like it. a pat on the back who can find my strike freedom box.... btw the paints semi-gloss thats why at some angles it looks like its not painted. |

ok, i just recently got a can of flat topcoat. And an modelling knife. And so i decided to try it first on something i'd done earlier. This is my Murasame that i made last yr and at that time i didn't have the right equipment so the sprue marks are still obvious even after i trimed them with the knife. I just Sharpened the V-fin and added topcoat. These aren't very sharp cause i just shot them with my 2 MP phone.

From Gunota
MG Strike Noir - March, 4,725 yen HGUC Mass-Produced Gelgoog Cannon - March, 1,680 yen EX Model Hildolfr - 1/144, March, 7,140 yen 1/100 Akatsuki Full Set - w/ gold plating, March, 7,350 yen HCM-Pro Gelgoog - Kuspen version, March, 2,100 yen HCM-Pro Mass-Produced Gelgoog - IGLOO version, March, 2,100 yen Oh wow, Bandai decided to have one version with both packs for the Akatsuki. Neato. Unfortunately...MORE EXPENSIVE THAN FRIGGIN MG SF FULL BURST. Ugh....I don't want to pay $60 (and then probably at least $10 for shipping) and then have to remove the plating crap -_-; |

MG Hi-Nu that Gunota just posted. I think I'm used to the redesign now.. it looks pretty good. And I'm hoping that Bandai didn't decide to reuse the old MG Strike inner-frame for the Strike Noir. If they didn't, then I'm definitely getting one. Despite my earlier reaction, Strike Noir is the only Strike variant I actually like. 1/100 Akatsuki has me stumped though.. the fully plated Gold Frame was 3800 yen, why is Akatsuki's price nearly double? Does the extra pack really add that much? |
