Actually from the whole chapters which I reread and redid a blog post since then.. I understand that what she did at first can't be forgiven, but take in consideration that if she did change after meeting Souma.

Also not all the elite 10 are good. Remember how someone want Souma to lose and set him up with a stalker, only to have him forgive the stalker...

I think Erina will change in due time.. I know I can't stop a person from being hate, but I believe that give some time and see how this manga will be heading.

I'm sure Erina will learn her mistake =w= ||

And the thing about the shojo manga, i will said that that does not make her be a nice person, but instead, let us know her soft side, the one that she dont like to show to anyone, and the one that maybe every reader will like if she stop using her masquerade in front of every other person.

I think the same, present a girl that is potentially the ending girl(following the last page of chap 1) to end with the father of the mc is...weird. Yeah he sure is handsome but for me and my way of thinking , they together is a big NO. I can accept that maybe she starts liking souma after she knows that he is his son, and that passion that was taught to her, can come in a younger package, but going to the point of him dueling in a win or die shokugeki for her love against his father, is plain silly

I admit it's interesting, however I just want the rivalry between the father and the son purely in cooking, adding romance in that is just ... weird, for me anyway.

Rather than that, I'd like to see Souma challenging the Shogun or Mafia Don (LOL) to get his approval for Erina more.

Is it not normal? I saw a lot of young girl married to an old man. It doesn't matter if the old man and the young girl are in love with each other. Love has no boundaries.

Yes. I am Megumi fans. I like her not just because she looks pretty. I like her because she offers more than being pretty.

personally, I think Megumi got the heart warming part and she did show hints of liking Souma, though Nikumi shown the most, and very obvious. Also the latest chapter when Souma and Erina are sitting together and having their usual 'conversation', Megumi and Nikumi are shown to be jealous about that.

One thing seem interesting is that due to how Alice able to talk to Souma easily, it can be seem to be another shipping, since Alice had taken interest in Souma during the camping arc.

And after her lost to him, she did show a face that seem to be embarrass but brush it off after Souma's saying that he just one step ahead of her.

Souma might be one dense person in love, but I wonder how will he even think of Love when he been wanting to be the top and overcome his dad (=w=||)

Even when Souma say that he want Erina to acknowledge his cooking, I think I can imagine how he said, if Erina acknowledge his cooking, is that he will go surpass his dad and not mention of love ...

I believe Jouichirou still like his dead wife, cos he did mentioned about cooking for the love one, which is why his cooking got kindness, which was unlike his past, as noted by the dorm mother.

Interestingly, Erina like his cooking, but wasn't awared of his tie with Souma as father and son. At first I was confused by, but as I refreshed after re-reading the whole chapters from the first one, it just come to me it wasn't that he disappear, he just change his family name.

I think Yukihara might be the mother name, which was mentioned in earlier posts. And due to that, many would not know of Souma in the first place, but once they know his tie to the Jouichirou, I think it would be a big shocking news to the whole school, even to the school Director himself.

I just wonder why it wasn't leak yet, even the stalker should be awared of that too.. (*=* ||)

The main reason why I like Erina is that her interactions with Souma are so funny

Souma is the perfect foil for her: Very talented and absolutely unconcerned with issues like fame and hierarchy. In fact, it's exactly his ability to ignore standing and succeed on his talent with relative ease that she finds herself riled up. And I love watching when the male character - not even consciously! - tugs at a tsundere ojousama's mask. This kind of interaction is infinitely more entertaining to watch for _me_, compared to his relationship with any other girl (save maybe Alice, who I like a lot, too).

There's nothing wrong with preferring the sweet, cute kindhearted Megumi, for example. It's just that her screentime isn't as exciting to me.
