Okay, for all Daemonhunters out there, is there a viable tactis out there for defeating Inferno Ghom? The closest method I got was to slowly creep across the sides of the room, and move whenever a cloud appears. Too bad the enrage timer got to me and my companion, which meant that the clouds started proliferating faster.

@Myssa Rei: get really high DPS like around 60k or something and then start firiing
and move slowly around in a circle until he dies! that or find someone really strong to kill him for you! EDIT: but really, for this type of battle, you'll need to invest in life on hit weapon and stuffs. you'll be stealing so much health that his poison wont be able to kill you at all. but then by the doing that, you'll have to invest in those equipments and they're not cheap.

Inferno act 3 requires a lot of gear and 1200+ LoH for barbarians of all things seems pretty standard.
You could try tank demon hunter. I don't know how the build exactly works, but people who use it tank elites and bosses like crazy and their hp barely goes down.

^ dont sweat it. i'm stuck at him too. i kind of gotten bore of him and quit the game
for a bit...eh..nevermind, i quit the game because it was boring. well, a lot of people are complaining about him a lot. saying that he is WAY harder than Diablo herself....just doesnt make sense at all. try getting UBER high DPS if you cant go the tank DH way. i know that people are saying that tank DH can kick this boss @ss easily. that or try using cluster bomb while using the caltrop that get him immobilized for 2 sec....that might do some high DPS and get him down. i wish blizzard would have leave him alone...why did they have to buff his poison cloud? be nice if the poison disappear after a set time, but jesus, they just fill the room in less than a minute and half. blizzard will maybe fix this...i hope. >____>; EDIT: OMG, i cant get to my inferno Ponyland because i'm stuck at this fat @ss poison cloud DOOD! *yawn, rage quit*

If you know how to kite him, you will be barely affected by the poison at all.
You still need high enough DPS to take him down before the enrage timer kicks in though. If you go for the tank route, use Grenades - Gas Grenades and Sentry - Guardian Turret beside your Caltrops. For passive, use Numbing Traps.

Finally killed him with this build:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...VkY!UVX!ccYccb This meant that I had to face-tank him, but the only thing I replaced was that I had to swap out my bow for a hand crossbow with 900+ LOH. Turned out well all things considered, and I managed to do it on the first try. In my case though, latency also is a factor, and had the connection spiked, it would be game over instantly.

^ grats on killing him. i might use a build similar to yours and get a weapon with high
LOH to get thru this. it's seen hand crossbow is more favorable for the build since it gives off more critical hit chance to recover those discipline. anyways, gonna try it out later when i feel like playing this game again.

Well, they finally implemented online profiles... which show more info than the game itself? It looks neat but now on to fixing the actual game... It's actually quite polished. Sadly, this is my post-sale gear, but let's show it off anyways!

Against my better judgement, I played a little in act 1 yesterday. I'm actually kinda shocked since these might be my parting gifts. Must be some plot to keep me in.

It's... actually good? I think it's snowing in hell. Off to the RMAH. Spoiler:

High dps + unlimited gloom = get hp back faster than you can get hit:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/C...3/hero/4030782 Used to have 300k dps but just couldn't justify holding on to items worth 200+ especially since it's so hard to find anything after 1.0.3 Barely logged in since then |

Ffff... I'm at the Crystal Spire in Inferno finally! I think I owe a lot of thanks to the freaking monster of a Barbarian that I was able to party with for the duration of the descent down to Azmodan. While it was annoying that most of the time he just ran towards the end of the boss encounters (Sin Hearts and Cydea specifically... the guy was so fast that he was out of view of my monk in seconds), and cherry-picked the elites he fought, he was VERY useful when we got to those boss encounters. The guy never left Azmodan's side, even after the floor started burning, which meant Azmodan went down VERY quickly. Heh.
Now all I need to do is to fight my way up the Crystal Spire. Hmm. I think I'll do it on a pub again. Oh, and hilariously, I think I partied with THREE Witch Doctors during my time at the Gardens of Hope. The one that lasted the longest was the one who came with the Tank Daemonhunter (who I might add actually tanked anything except Mallet Lords better than I did).
