Already 10+ years? I did not notice.. time flies so fast. ><
Anyway, hearing the song again made me remember the good old days when we're all at the Frontier threads with the shipping wars and stuff. xD Lion is a legendary song in macross for me, almost to the same level as Ai Oboete Imasuka. And I'm using Macross Frontier to introduce the macross genre to one of my friends in the cosplay community... because Delta sort of not so good... even if it is newer. My friend likes starship troopers, and she would probably like frontier because the enemies are bugs.

There are just too many good songs by Sheryl, but Lion and Northern Cross are some of the best.
I also love the orchestral score of Macross Frontier, with Alto and Sheryls love theme of course at the top.

I didn't think too much of her at first, the preview episode wasn't exactly showing her in the best light. But I was sold on the "Don't be late!" song. Speaking about the OST for Frontier...we haven't heard from Yoko Kanno for a while now. What has she been up to? |

Okay... it took a fair amount of bargaining, waiting, pouncing, wrangling, and begging, but I got tickets for both days.
Six years ago, I said the Crossover 30 Live was a day "not likely to be repeated"... we'll see if that's true!

Anyway, I got to go to both days of the Crossover Live. Unlike the last one, there was no “story” holding the concert together, but it was a wonderful show. Among other highlights, May’n and Megumi performed “Nyan Nyan Final Attack” and “Sayonara no Tsubasa” live for the first time ever. They also teased another Frontier concert.
Otherwise, the set lists were pretty representative (i.e. predictable) for each artist. The first night special guests were Haruka Chisuga from Macross 30, who sang “Planet Cradle,” and Hiroko Kasahara from Macross II who sang a duet of “Yakusoku” with May’n. On the second night, Kasahara was back, and sang “Mou Ichido Love You,” and Maaya Sakamoto sang “Triangler.” The only other duets were at the beginning and the end. Day 1, Mari Iijima and Megumi sang “Shao Pai Long,” And Walküre joined Fire Bomber to sing “Dakedo Baby” And “Dynamite Explosion” (both of which were AWESOME). Day 2, Mari Iijima and Yoshiki Fukuyama sang the “Super Dimension Anthem 2009,” Chie Kajiura and Megumi sang “Aimo,” and May’n joined Walküre on “Ikenai Borderline.” I’ll have a fuller report later.
