What is that level of craziness? Over 9000!! GYAAAAAAAAAA..... And so the Ika-musume fufilled her promise of taking over the world. With everyone going "Shinryaku! Shinryaku! Ika Musume! Kyun!". Does that sound like an utopia to you guys?

I'm probably being inconsiderable towards older people but it was really funny yet kind of odd how the director didn't react abnormally when he got caught by some unknown tentacle existances by a stranger who doesn't wear her uniform and thus can't be a student obviously (bad eyes?). Not to mention his life got threatened.
Well, I guess being forced to eating living shrimps made him nervous enough.

Anyway I loved how there was little to no dialogue in the 3rd segment, you don't see that much these days,it was really effective. Chibi ikka reminded me a little of ponyo lol

I really liked episode 5, especially the last segment. Silent comedy slightly reminiscent of the ol' Tom and Jerry days, reminds me of my younger days. ^___^ The very last part with elderly Eiko was particularly touching...
...Plus lil' Ika-tan is soooooooooooooooooo adorable... XD I loved practically every second she was on... O-O~ EDIT - I love wintry scenes... :D Ika-tan + snowball rolling = win!!! ^.^

That third part was absolutely brilliant, I thought. Cute, funny, then almost unbearably poignant, but with a killer punchline. Mini Ika Musume was adorable.
I always love it when a show does something outside its norm, and for me that third segment really worked. |

Man does this anime walk a fine line, they are doing a great balancing act here.
On one side you gotta feel sorry and little pity for Ika-chan cause of the troubles and abuse she goes through. And then on the other side you can't help but laugh at that misfortune cause it's damn funny. Ika-chan you just wanna hug and not let anything happen to her yet at the same time when you how much fun you could be having when you mess her around you feel like you want to join in. 1st segment was funny with Cindy and Ika-chan trying to convince everyone she is a alien. I liked the way Cindy was running away at the end, stuff like that amuses me. Next a world ruled by Ika-chan and we get to all the shrimp we want?! Yes please! I grew up on a small coastal town and we got fresh shrimp straight of the boat, bloody good stuff. And last but not least 3rd part was magnificently cute and totally brilliant! 2nd best piece of anime I've seen all year. The musical score was perfect. Really was heartwarming and touching at the end, didn't quite feel like you watching Shinryaku! Ika Musume until they remind us at the very end with it being a dream of Nagsa's where she isn't the main character, bloody brilliant! Shana-tan? Index-tan? Oh please they got squat on Mini Ika-chan!!
