Völundio ~Surreal Sword Saga~ updated by quite a few chapters. They end up needing to face an army of 50,000 with only like 5 magic sword users ad Cleo. Kohaku states she can take them if she reverts back to her original form, but they need to buy her a day or so to do it.

Völundio ~Surreal Sword Saga~ updated with the siege continuing on the place. They're putting up a good fight, but Cleo eventually has them retreat since he plans to buy the time needed for Kohaku to awaken by himself. The image of her in her chibi form was adorable though.

Völundio ~Divergent Sword Saga~ updated a lot. All the way up to Chapter 32.

Cleo intends to buy enough time for Kohaku to wake up with the intention of either making their swords go berserk or being taken hostage since if their goal is to induct the others they won't kill the leader (on top his special ability), but its different for Morkana since their goal is to kill her. Either way that plan fails when the others decide that since they can't trust that things will go to plan they're going to back him in a fight. Fortunately, Kohaku woke early (she left herself a little time but is still struggling to move) and proceeded to basically machine gun them with stones before following up with golems and then making a mountain to sit on. Then she shrugs off poison and Cleo reveals she's not an Earth-based sorcerer but instead a psychokinesis user and so she has no elemental weakness to be exploited as she creates a giant sphere of water that would have crushed them all if the others didn't convince her to let them run away.

So in the end she made a small lake around the entire mountain, but because Morkana is still there and many of the followers remained behind, they've got a bunch of people to take care of. Fortunately, Morkana inteds to take them to her homeland and look after them with the other sword users who were left behind. Then she hints about the "Will of the World" at which point alarm bells start ringing in Kohaku's ears and she gets ready to assassinate her until the others inadvertantly stop her. Later on they find out that the cult that attacked them was disbanded by the army, and so Cleo knowing that they'll eventually face another conflict asks if he can learn magic from Kohaku.

Specifically, he wants to learn Healing Magic even with how difficult it is since he isn't a frontline warrior. However, only people aligned with attributes to Water and Wind can use Healing Magic (though there are cases of Fire users managing). So he goes through image training and sees images of the past and someone named Völundio, a blacksmith before passing out.

The Will of the World is back folks. We know what that means.

Actually, its been years since I read Helck and I barely remember it. I wonder if I should re-read Helck, or just wait for the anime to re-experience it?

probably the manga, because it takes quite a while before the overarching plot and world setting kicks in and before then it's a fairly light hearted One-Punch Man kind of parody with an overpowered hero.

The Helck sequel manga, Divergent Sword Saga, has finished its Part One and will be going on hiatus due to the author's health.

Dang...it felt like there was a long time between chapters. Wonder if that was due to the author health, or was the release schedule consistent? Did they at least finish the current arc(chap 49 ~50)?

Spoiler: It turns out that the continent that they are currently on is far to the West of the one where Helck took place. So it's the same world, but in a different area. Not sure if its set in the past or future though, considering the demon souls boss fight at the moment. __________________
