I don't think I'd go that far really. He went a little far, but he had some good points. A guy is subjected to the actions of a woman and manages to remain a gentleman, refusing to do anything in the situation he was literally dragged into, and he's treated like simply being in that situation makes him in the wrong? I'm sorry but that just doesn't fit.

soo....why did Kaguya’s father summon her all the way back to Kyoto anyway? Just to say hi?

even if he’s like a non-existing parent, that was such an inefficient way of doing things, especially for the head of such a distinguished family

Lol, Fujiwara being "my people". XD
It is true though that a lot of women dislike garlic, my own mom does so too. Whenever my dad eats garlic when going out he gets no kisses anymore for the rest of the day.
Poor Hayasaca trying to relax and her Bakaguya keeps getting in her off time. XD
If our two idiot lovers were honest with each other they would spend so much time together in summer vacation that they would never want it to end. <3
So they gotta suck it up, their own fault they feel lonely and unfulfilled. Though in Kaguya's case her own father seems to put a lid on her whenever she's about to experience something new and independent like going shopping with her friends. Next episode will already be the last one? Such a shame, hopefully this gets a 2nd season.

He's right in some respect, but as a stopped clock right twice a day rather than having any more sensitivity than a boiled egg, that's his character.

It's a fantastical "anime" situation where common sense and logic doesn't really apply.

In the real world a small bedridden feverish girl wouldn't have the strength to drag a guy into bed and even if she did, a guys normal reaction would be to get off immediately instead of the hesitating like a derp ass generic male protagonist that accidentally walks into a girl changing in some trash tier harem-shit anime. And plus a normal person would have narcoleptic levels of sleep deprivation either.

I'd give up on trying to apply any kind of thought to it just like how Kaguya gives up on controlling Fujiwara.

Spoiler for At least we got our "beach episode" for this season XD:

A bit of a shame we didn't got to see Kaguya in Hawaii but I think she wouldn't have enjoyed the beach that much with the three Fujiwara sisters around her.^^

so they will finish this in exact the hyped arc that we all predicted before... the "I can't hear the firework" arc

Twitter episode is a well-done one.. glad that they focused it on Hayasaka because it is basically her arc
the ramen episode is pretty good! it supposed to be a weird filler but it turned out into a great one
"the missing each other" arc is also good

and that teaser for final arc is magnificent.. I can't imagine them failing in executing that arc anymore
The build up is perfect

oooh shoot, that ending scene made me .. feel things.

I hope yall are right, an above average finale would do that build up justice, it's going to be a massive disappointment if it didn't live up to what this episode did.

I was going to say that the ramen arc was my favorite this episode, before I noticed that there was a lot of time left after the ED. Either way this episode is really really good!

I think it's not a matter of liking it, but a double standard regarding garlic breath. They cut the bit where Ishigami embarrassed her by offering breath mints.

We didn't get a second season announcement today but the show itself was definitely among one of my favorites this season/year.

They adapted the fireworks chapter for the finale and it was an incredible experience with the character emotions and dialogues. The second half bought back more lighthearted comedy that I enjoyed watching. Truly a golden egg adaptation. There's still plenty more so I hope another season will come in the future.

9/10.

This is how you do an adaptation, great choices at the moment of picking up what to include or which parts of the manga needs to be moved from one place to another.

The last episode was so heartwarming with Miyuki and the others helping Kaguya to enjoy the fireworks, is nice to see that despite having a family that doesn't even care about here she has some amazing friends and one person who loves her at her side.

10/10 for me and I hope that we get a second season considering how the sales are going pretty well for Kaguya-sama.

Talk about ending a show on a strong note. They just nailed it with this last episode. The only thing they could have done to make it better would have been that second season drop in the last episode.

This show really was the gold example of an adaptation done right. They were so darn creative and really put a lot of effort into it. The comedy was great and the character moments were done right. This last episode was a perfect showing off it. The emotional punches Kaguya took were intense, but so were the high points. From her perspective Shirogane made the best of impressions and looked as cool as could be. And yet they still managed to fit in some hilarious moments near the end with the aftermath leaving them both rather frazzled .

It's a shame this is the last episode for now. I'd be up for watching this non-stop. But at least I also find it hard to imagine this not getting another season. It was just too good to stop here.

The whole post-fireworks bit was a huge MEH for me. Talk about anti-climactic...

Yup, tears in my eyes, as expected

Great episode (and great manga chapter as well), and there is so much more to come

Huh?

You must have noticed that this is literally the gimmick of this series. Light comedy, tense romantic moment, back to comedy. And it's doing both comedy and romance part brilliantly. With this we are back to normal and ready for more (but their relationship is building), and oh boy is there much more.

Did that side girl split up with the shy boyfriend over the summer and get someone new? Because that guy acting "cool" in front of her as she blushed didn't look like the same guy...

It's the same guy. The adaptation just skipped over a chapter where he becomes an insufferable "normie".

And if someone could give me a gif of Shirogane's face melt then I'd appreciate it.

What a great episode, a fitting end to a stellar season. Please let Season 2 be a thing!
