How did Tusk and Momoka survive?…Of course during the scenario meeting we came up with multiple ideas, but ultimately, if we write it it wouldn't be interesting at all, so we just put it all in the episode preview. Tusk used the Body Replacement Technique (Kawarimi no Jutsu) and an anti-explosive cloak using a fire jutsu (Katon no Jutsu). Momoka used a frying pan and mana to slow her fall.

Tusk knew where Ange's destination was, so he rendezvoused with Momoka who was stuck in a tree. And they came back to the island on a fishing boat…the end. The director said "Eh? Is this really ok?", and did oppose this idea, but Higuchi-san, the producers, and I agreed on this development.

The highlight of this episode is Ange's change of awareness and determination. We've been watching her change since episode one. So Tusk being alive is very important and how he managed to survive is not. There is no drama in that.

My reaction:

WHAT?! Is this for real? If true, this is both hilarious and awesome. Tusk having ninja techniques? I say why the heck not?

I trust nothing people say that came from Fukuda's twitter. Plus, it all sounds like bad writing. "How Tusk survived is not important", really? Also, I dislike it insinuating that Ange needs a man in her life.

Not that I don't get your point, but the way that's phrased just sounds weird. Anyway, she has Momoka who won't ever leave her, so apparently she does. By the way, I'm not angry at him not dying, but how he didn't. Even the shots from Embryo are gone. It's the same with Momoka. How is she going to have a dang frying pan under her clothes, and no one even notices it there? It's not a medal, a bullet proof vest, or even a stinking spoon, but a frying pan of all things. How can I call their survival anything but an @sspull.

And the key to anime, Momoka talking who lost the ability to use mana.
Ie mana is the chafe of the episodes.
Momoka have lost the ability to Use mana, and Tusk not be User mana.

Yeah, since Ange escaped, Embryo's been PO'd. From spanking Salia to telling Ersha to screw off when she requests he revive her kiddies, and force chokes her for good measure.
