I'm catholic by birth but agnostic in practice and I maintain a very cynical view of life.
I have nothing against Catholicism, but growing up and living in a predominantly catholic country and not being a catholic practitioner has some serious drawbacks especially here where people become zealous and profoundly infused with their faith from common folks to the government, I don't want to practice it because of my experiences but I don't want the inconvenience either. In the end, I guess the definition and classification of what your faith is boils down on how one would adhere to his own followings, not on societal standards. |
