Where is it that servants "live"? Some sort of heroic heaven? But who governs/manages this place and decides who gets to be a hero? Who set up this system for heroic spirits to be summoned?

With all these reality warping people/powers in the Type-Moon universe, I can't imagine why these heroic spirits are stuck in this heaven if they "exist". There are creatures like Tatari that materialize from such an abstract idea like a curse and that one alien dead apostle that could destroy the earth.

The throne of heroes, inside Akasha

Mankind. If you become a hero in the collective consciousness of mankind, you get to move to the throne of heroes

Einzbern, Tohsaka and Makiri, with Zelretch's supervision

What is the deal with the Holy Grail war?

From what I remember from F/SN it is a false thing and doesn't truly grant wishes.

But then shouldn't the previous participants of the war discovered this and halted future generations from participating?

I haven't seen F/SN in awhile so perhaps my memory is off.

I purchased it from JList, but I'm sure you can find other stores that have it.

Nobody cares since the fake Grail gives them enough mana to basically grant any wish anyway.

Watch Iri's school special. She explains that the ritual has never been completed before.

Plus, the people who discover the truth don't survive long enough to tell it. Well, the ones who would tell other people at least.

Is there an ending where Saber stays? Cause I've watched the UBW anime and she disappeared again -.- I don't know about the other endings.

I still can't get a PC version of the VN. Are they really $100+? its pretty expensive for an old game.

Im in Australia btw so the pricing is really different

It's not cheap, that's for sure. But, I think it's worth it. You get a lot of play time and there is high re-playability too.

Best ending because you get Rin and Saber.

True is generally what should happen to resolve the conflicts.

Good Ending is one were more people are alive at the end (if I understand this correctly).

^not actually true.
HF good ending had shirou die and sakura waiting for his arrival til she died of old age.
true ending had shirou's soul placed inside a homunculus and the two of them living together happily with shirou eventually regaining back some of his old abilities.

Which is why it was called the Normal End, rather than "Good".

But yes, the True Endings are definitely... well, truer. The UBW Good End is fun for the threesome factor and all, but it doesn't contain a fraction of the emotional payoff the True End provides. And the HF Ends speak for themselves.

From my understanding...

True Endings are true to the beliefs and themes of the route with no regard to who survives or whatever.

Good Endings resolve most of the problems of the route and some themes.

Normal Endings have nothing resolved and much to be desired.

Bad Endings are where the protagonist dies or some other bad thing happens that prevents you from finishing the story.

Threesome factor is definitely great, lol. Throw in speculation of them saving Sakura at the end and you have the perfect ending for all extensive purposes.

That's a Realta Nua-only ending and is called Last Ending.

Did they actually meet? Because in my understanding they woke up from their sleep and then saw each other.
