Of the top of my head, Cid joined the fox lady in a venture to make money, but in turn, ended up running the Shadow Garden out of business.

A big part of the WN arc was that many of the girls were devastated, and thought Cid had abandoned them. Of course, the girls eventually turned it around and regained their confidence.

IIRC the only different between WN and LN is.. In LN Cid doesn't aware that by joined force with Yukime will ruin shadow garden and their company. The rest is the same as WN.

In WN, Cid fully aware about this part but he still went with it anyway because of jealousy at those girls for leave him behind (again he doesn't know that they all did it for him) and Cid want to play the dame secret agent role or whatever chuni in his head cuz it's damn cool.

I must say it's very asshole for what Cid did to Alpha and co., the worst is instead of apologize for what he did after the end, he choose to keep his distance from Alpha and co. and wait for them to cool down cuz he believe that they will forget their grudge against him.

He also actually beat the shit out of Alpha iirc while telling her he didn't need Shadow Garden anymore (he was role playing but she had no way of knowing).

It was callous enough that I stopped reading the WN. Might pick up the LN if they changed that part.

Does Cid's sister actually suspect that Cid is stronger than her? In LN1 she says that she noticed that Cid never learns anything from her during their training sessions whereas she's actually been learning all his techniques the entire time.

I have read the whole WN and LN V1 just few hours ago (read it repeatedly)

But yeah, people might misunderstanding it.
