Yeah I tought he was speaking in shorten gozaru. I'm not sure what exactly is the right term for it. ^^

Like a traditional warrior. But because he's stil a kid, it got simplified. ^^

I've noticed Gash's unique manner of speech since the first episode

And yeah, it is like an archaic form of Japanse mixed in with some kiddie stuff. Examples:

- he uses the addressing suffix -dono (which Kenshin used in RK)

- Many of his sentences end in "na no da". Eg "Itterashai na no da!". Its a kiddie way of ending one's sentences.

Ehh, I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. But I love the way Gash speaks I don't think his manner of speech implies that he's part of a royal family, but that's just my opinion.

Yes Gash and his word "Unu" which can have multiple meanings depending on what is previously said to him, it's a basic agreement sound he makes.

Hahaha, I love that cosplay! If only the guy was walking on stilts, it'd be a perfect life-size replica. ^^

Man, when is Gashbell going to get its own forum section? I mean, I've never even heard of Kono Minikuku and it already has its own area, even though I'm sure Gashbell is d/l and talked about just as much. This thread has already been branched off twice by mods, I'm sure that's evidence that this discussion can't be contained to one topic.

This show isn't likely to get its own forum. Ever. We honestly shouldn't have made one for KonoMini either. We've recently reassessed our standards for series forums and quite honestly the only two current series forums we should have created are Fullmetal and Naruto. It will likely be a long while until we create another.

If it was based on rating from Japan, Gash would've gotten one ages ago. But no, lesser rated shows in Japan end up getting their own forums like Naruto, because they're more popular to English speaking ones apparently. Gash is quite underrated to English speaking fans which is probably why it will never get a forum of its own.

Very sad, but true. I do my part by recommending Gash Bell to people, but it isn't enough.

Or people are just highly annoyed by Gash's almost constant state of crying.

Other than that, this show is great

Fighting Anime with Strategic Attacks and timing
Funny Anime with barely any Fan Service
Deep Story with Sad and Happy moments
=Konjiki no Gash Bell!

This show is a good as the newer anime gets ... they should put this show on CN... only thing that I look forward to more is GITS:SAC2nd GIG

I find gash's crying amusing, which is strange because when I see some whining kid in real life I usually feel like strangling them...

Gash is slowly gaining more attention as of late, probably due to the consistency of the releases.

It's been getting in increase of approx 300-400 downloads every episode for the past 5 to 6 releases, counting in BT and XDCCs.

The two main reasons why I think its not as popular as it could be right now is cuz A-E did not start subbing it right away when it started airing, and also that it was not subbed consistently until episode 18 or so.

So it becomes difficult for people to catch up or "get into it" that late into a series.

The recent batch torrents are helping a bit :P

And another episode (33) out by A-E. It's great that you release these episodes so fast now. Thank you!

Downloading now.

I don't think this 5 episode mini-arc is sucking at all. Was it worse in the manga or something?

It's not in the manga at all.

These episodes are not as bad as I heard they were. For filler episodes, they're actually pretty good.

p.s.
In my mind I call Gurisa: 'Garlic Jr 2'

This episode was average IMO, and I don't like Gurisa... (he really needs some pants @___@)
I really like Nyarurato or whatever it is though
Yay for dancing kittens!
