Clarification: Japanese YNN correspondent Y_Y points out that the ANN article is not entirely correct - the obi says that it would be nice *if* Yuru Yuri has an anime - and the Yuri Hime editorial staff blog also said they think it would make a nice anime...but there is no anime greenlit as of yet.

I don't think it's the sort of thing you brandish about if there aren't at least discussions in the works. It seems like a ploy to gauge market reaction. It could of course also be that something has changed in the time between when the manga was printed and when it appeared on the shelves such that they're no longer ready to make an official announcement yet, so now they have to spin it a bit like "oh, we didn't really mean it was *coming* coming..." Ah, marketing...

This is not the first time I have seen an obi strip with a "wishful thinking" anime adaptation... If you remember the obi strip that came with the 3rd volume of the shounen light novel series MM! also got that type of "wishful thinking" anime adaptation...

Though I do think that MM! might get an anime adaptation some day...

I'm pretty sure most of you know about these individual animes and so do I......I knew most of their premiers beforehand and have written articles on them for a webzine......BUT......well this is just for the ppl who are less informed about this stuff. Ahhhhhh....was there a point in making this post ??

I just realised something (well not right now....about a few days ago =P) and the thing is that site didn't list all of the animes coming in Spring 2010. Hence, Sankaku Complex reported it wrong saying the drop from 60 to 25 is as rough estimate but the animes coming in Spring are more like 30 and the examples that are not in the list are Black Rock Shooter and Hakuouki.

The new Kurenai looks to be a single OVA bundled with a manga volume.

The source says the character designs will be different, but the cast will be the same. Also, a character from the light novels but not in the anime Kirihiko Kirishima will apparently be in it.
