To be fair, Beerus is a cat. Anyone who's owned a cat for a while will know that, well, it's what they do.

However this only extends to how Beerus was portrayed in the Battle of the Gods movie; TV-series Beerus is just a big jerk.

I like the TV version of Beerus better. I never felt any real danger from the movie version, like you could always talk him off of a ledge if it came down to it. I don't get that vibe from this Beerus.

But everything else was average.
I hope Toei doesn't screw up the animation like one of the previous episodes next time for the fight next time.

I gotta admit, goku's ascension to godhood is a lot better here than it was in the movie. The way it effected the world makes more sense, and the movie just felt a bit anticlimatic.

So... from what I've seen posted, it seems Videl essentially went Super Saiyan for the ritual.

I guess at least doing that gives Gohan a good enough reason to go SSJ too?

It's more like Pan went super saiyan inside her. But yeah, I guess that justifies Gohan going SSJ himself.

I really hope they do a post-Z series now too. You can tell they REALLY enjoyed animating a female Super Saiyan. Videl got better animation than pretty much everything else in the episode (not counting the CG weather).

One of the best episodes so far. The way the transformation of Goku's ki affected the world was fantastic and one thousand times better when compared to the movie. The OST was also very nice! I hope they do not ruin this moment by making a retarded looking fight in the next episode.. i really do not trust Toei these days :/
I know they will censor it by making some dark lines in the characters faces and call those bruises..lol, but at least i hope to see and feel some of the savage and epic moments from the DBZ fights. A guy can dream... we already had an epic transformation xD

What I found hilarious was, once again, EVERYONE seemed to conveniently forget that Shenron can grant two wishes rather than one. Though seeing as how the dragon was in a hurry to get out of there since Beerus was around, ahaha...

Goku's transformation and the effect it had on the world was incredible. Way better than the movie's version.

I really hope we don't get terrible animation for the fight next episode.

Well , I guess we got a glimpse of how a Female Super Sayan will look like--

Hopefully , Goku will lift over 200,000,000,000,000,000,000 ton in his base form in future to show how powerful he gotten after adsorbing SSGJ.
He already receive enough humiliation for lifting 40 ton.

The transformation was cool to watch. It's really the only thing so far that is better to watch than the movie, given that the series has more time to play around with.

Hope the fight is at least as good as in the movie.

How many more episodes to go before we really move on to uncharted territory?

Needs more Female Super Saiyans

I hope this sequel will go further than just a retelling of movies and into more original content and add new characters.

Maybe into Pan growing up and going super saiyan by herself.

Just like Battle of Gods, this series is just complete fan service. There is nothing else to like here, nothing of quality. It's garbage. Something needs to happen fast, and I don't mean the fight with Beerus. GT and Z had much more going on 9 episodes in.
