Thanks. SOtM 02/09 entry. Not the idea I had initially in my mind but... Well that would have been borderline impossible within the filesize limit (again). So I'm making a run for it when I still have some hair left. |

Had a fun trip even as I actually found Vegas quite uninteresting. Mojave desert however was absolutely epic. So a few photos are probably in order. Spoiler for size:

I actually had to change dollars back to euros when I came back and most of my money went to anime DVDs and souvenirs. Didn't gamble or drink at the trip which would be the two purposes of visiting Vegas for the most. (did grab a bottle of excellent gin at Heatrow on the way back for souvenir for myself though) And also the reason I didn't find it all that interesting. I do gamble but my idea of how to do it is deck of cards 5-6 friends, 20-50€ buy-in and spending the winnings at the bar when we're done. So it was primarily sightseeing for me and to be honest Vegas is actually not the best of places for that. Seen one casino and you've seen them all really. The real cherry on a cake for me was really the Mojave. There are no words to describe how amazing it is and photos really don't do it any justice. I'd be happy to spend a few months just driving around it visiting the small towns where the "real" locals live in. I may post a few more pictures soon. A bit more arty stuff. |
