You know, after Strike Witches, Sky Girls... Moe National Socialism, something like this was obviously going to follow suit. The difference? It doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a very good thing.
And finding out the entire community exist on top of a carrier deck was a pleasant surprise indeed. I like how the Pz.Kpfw. IV is used as the main crew's vehicle. It was the workhorse of the German army, a very stable, versatile and customizable unit. I wonder if we will get to see other armament options later in the series. Hell, I wonder if the Tiger would become a mid-season upgrade - Tak |

It's more likely to be the final boss actually, given that it's used by Nishizumi Maho and her crew.

Sure the AMX-13 appears in the manga as a background explanation example, but until tanks of that era actually appear jumping the gun wouldn't be wise.

I think it's more a reference to the "Katyusha" multiple rocket launchers that the Soviets first developed in WWII. That would tie in with all the WWII equipment we've seen in the show up till now.

*Goose is shot by OCT snipers* Sorry, wrong Katyusha. Ironically, in the original russian, Katyusha is the equivalent of "Katie", and the diminuitive form of "Yeketarina" (Catherine). Also, given some discussion on another board I frequent, it seems that Captain Ami's little stunt with the Type-10 might just be possible afterall; the M1, which at 70 tons grossly outweighs the 48 ton Type-10, was tested for airdropping, and LAPES has been proven to work with the M551 Sheridan and M8 Buford, so all things considered, it probably is possible to do that stunt IRL. Not practical at all for the battlefield... but certainly doable to make an attention-grabbing entrance.

Also, just when you thought Garupan (seems that's the shortcut for it now) couldn't get any crazier, they give you this: Spoiler for Episode 3:

That's the name that stood out to you instead of Orange Pekoe or Darjeeling or Assam? And the worst name goes to the poor girl Anchovy. Quote:

On a similar note, what can possible used to upgrade the M3? I can't think of any late-war non-prototype tanks with 6 crew.

Gotta remember they're still girls riding those tanks afterall, that was to be expected.
Looks like next episode will feature the bulk of the battle against St. Gloriana seen in episode 1. Looking most forward to all the tank action, especially after how glorious this episode was in that regard

Aside from it being a StuG III in the first place, I'm not seeing any Rommel influences. Maybe the tan top? But that's really minor compared to the sashimono and VENI-VIDI-VICI.
Although that picture is a good way of showing all five tank commanders.
