It's his eyes and shoulder blades...and very skilful application of makeup especially around the eyes and lips. The Josou Shounen genre will run now. Look forward to more yaoi manga - two of my waifus would love this. Shit.

On the other hand : Sankaku - Why Female Shoujo Manga Artists Will Never Understand The Real Man's World It is an airsoft PSG-1 sniper rifle : and sniper rifles aren't supposed to be fired while standing in the first place. Secondly, rifles aren't supposed to be placed on shoulders unless it is recoilless. Colt Commandoes don't have alot of recoil. I'd let that pass, though I am wondering where she get all her wealth from. Come to think of it, it is a perfect opportunity for Japanese to invest in US stocks right now since the yen is so much below the USD - the bloody amount of shares bought up is enough to reap a four-digit profit each month, all the buyer has to do is to aim for necessity sectors like agriculture and energy.

ROTFL ... gosh....those rifle handling postures are just priceless, on both knees, straight back... (I admit it's also cute ) Frankly, Japanese never cease to make me laugh to tear when they depict weapon handling in manga, especially in Shoujo.

On the other side, sports marksmen consider such a technique very cheap. edit: and the airsoft is not even half as heavy as the real G3/PSG1. I don't want to be mean, but I would really want to see her shoot the real thing using 7.62 Nato rounds (I found the recoil impressive) ... the way she is holding it the recoil will at best throw her over and at worst break her collarbone (okay I reconsider that, she could start with training rounds and a lower recoil to get used to it... actually I don't wish her any harm... but it would be funny to look at).

The recoils are managable and didn't seem much since I was in prone/crouch positions. It isn't like a .50 weapon I have seen being fired - it's bloody damn loud (even with blanks) and even the tripod is shaking. Maybe the JGDSF can give her a tryout. How heavy are the airsoft PSG-1 models anyway? P.S The really humourous thing is how she drew the character wielding a Colt Commando (or M4 carbine, whatever). If the gun is fired, the skin on his fingers will tear thanks to the bayonet clip block at the muzzle.

Irreverent Cuban movie promises zombie revolution
Now even the Cubans want to try their hand at doing a zombie flick:
"HAVANA – What would you do if your entire city was taken over by flesh-eating zombies and communist leaders insisted it was nothing but a plot by U.S-backed dissidents to destabilize the government? If you were the protagonist of Juan de los Muertos — "Juan of the Dead" — the first zombie flick ever shot in post-revolutionary Cuba, you'd figure out how to make some cash out of the carnage. Part horror show, part social satire, the soon-to-be-shot movie has the backing of a Spanish production company, a green light from Cuban authorities and a budget that dwarfs most big-screen offerings from the island." But even with gas operated weapons, bad postures can still wound you (either causing you to fall back, or scratching your face). And yeah, non gas operated systems are much less forgiving; especially since those type of weapons typically use ammo which pack much more power than meek 5.56x45mm NATO, usually the 7.62x51mm NATO. Around here we even use the more powerful 7.62x55mm Swiss: for many of those used to the old roller-delayed blowback SG-510, modern gas operated 5.56 weapon recoil is barely noticeable. And when trying the old bolt-action Schmidt-Rubin, many young shooters injury themselves due to bad posture (breaking a collarbone, dislodging their shoulder...).

Yes it makes a big difference. The MP5 (variants) use pistol amunition that contains only a fraction of the 7.62x51 cartdiges' propellant and have a much shorter barrel. The more propellant and the longer the barrel the more recoil, if we talk about weapons without special recoil dampers (like e.g. muzzle break or gas piston).
