Which is why they're acting the way they do now.. the point I was trying to push

In the end, his student respected that too, even though he had nothing to do with Tiara The security prevented the Defense System from awakening, limiting the functions so that no one can "recreate" actual program beings from the Book's storage of actual human existence. and also that the Tome will only acknowledge someone who is acknowledged by the current owner.
In other words, it's a system that depends on trust. Saga trusted his student, so he passed on to him, and he believes the one he'll pass on to will pass on to someone who can be trusted...But alas, humans are also the greatest pretenders...the Third betrayed that trust the moment he actually got his hands on it.
Another trivia : The reason it took 11 years to restore the Tome for the Third and the reason Wolkies don't remember anything about their past is because the history that was written in the Book...the magic that sustained the memories and embodiment of the years of the civil war was literally used up to recreate all of the Wolkenritter. Of course, for dramatic purposes, the Knights will probably have very very very little fragments of their actual living lives in the OC thread... but well, it depends on creative usage. Technically, it's safe to say they technically remember almost nothing, other than their personalities and their spirit and pride as Knights.
All of the Book's recorded memories and histories are all AFTER the Book has awakened.
Thanks for the clarification.

After scolding the two, I finally started to get to the explanation…
“First, what would you like to ask?”
“Well, I’m most curious as to why Kha and feel weird around you. Can you finally explain to us?”
I took a deep breath and started.
“I assume that you all know that I was an Enforcer seventeen years ago, as well as losing my left arm in the process, correct?”
They nodded.
“This ‘feeling’ you’re getting, can most likely be related to what caused me to retire from active duty. A Lost Logia.”
At this point, Nanoha spoke up, “Hayate-chan had attempted to search the TSAB records about your Enforcer history, but the data about seventeen years ago were classified.”
“Hayate?” She was digging up on my background? Heh, as to be expected from her… Honestly that girl, I’ll be scolding her tomorrow.
“Hah, it should pretty well damned be classified. Some of the higher-ups have been doing me favors, after all. Almaria, projection mode.”
[Understood…]
A small dome of light surrounded the five of us, enclosing us in a dome where I ca freely project any visual data stored in my devices’ memory.
“Visual log, 351A72.”
[Hai.]
A few moments later, the image of a sickeningly pulsating void appeared at the center of the projection, haloed by an intricate silver contraption. The girls flinched at the horrid sight while Kha’s eyes widened in surprise.
“This… Is one of the most dangerous Lost Logia to be ever documented in TSAB history. It’s tentatively named the Perfect Void.”
“Perfect Void?” Fate approached the image a little, squinting a bit at the swirling mass at the center. She almost immediately averted her eyes, obviously not being able to take the image so easily. Kha immediately approached her and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder. Fate leaned closer to him.
“Sempai, what does it do?”
“Well, before I answer that, can I ask you four a question?”
“Huh?”
“Tell me. What do you get in the absence of light?”
Keroko answered, “Darkness.”
“Mostly correct. Now, in the absence of darkness, what is there?”
Kha answered this time, a bit more doubtful in his tone, “Light? But Sempai, wouldn’t that be-”
“You can’t really have one without the other, right?” I cut him off. He nodded.
“Well then, tell me. What is there when there is neither light nor darkness.”
“What?”
“Is there?”
“Sempai, that’s impossible! There would be nothing left!”
I smirked at him. “Exactly. Nothing.”
The image at the middle of the projection exploded and roiled around us, gaining a gasp from the Aces.
“When you eliminate the positive, the negative and the neutral, you leave nothing left.” I snapped my fingers and the image vanished, once again leaving us under the late night sky.
“To put it simply, before there ever were, there was nothing. One of the assumed origins of everything we see now is nothing, correct?”
“……………”
“Light, darkness, time, matter, magic, energy, their respective opposites if any, EVERYTHING. All these are said to be completely absent during the very beginning of all existence. To make things simpler, imagine the universe as an empty data storage device. Everything we perceive now has filled the void with existence. Or in my example, data. Am I making sense so far?”
They gave me a reluctant nod. Heh, let’s see if you can wrap your heads around this.
“Let’s alter the analogy a bit. Let us suppose that the universe is a computer from Earth. If a computer there is overloaded with data, it gets broken. And when there is not enough key data, it won’t even work. That’s the way how it works, am I right?”
The girls nodded.
“Apparently, the universe is supposed to work the same way. When there’s too much or too little data, it gets destroyed. I’ve been able to talk with a very interesting person several ears ago.” I looked at Fate. “I don’t know whether to believe or not, but this Multiverse is apparently not the first.” She visually stiffened at the mention.
“I was told that the assumed first ever Multiverse had no natural magic, only the most advanced technology capable of making such. The denizens of that phase were obviously thrilled with the concept, the creation of something out of nothing, magic particles.” At this point, I conjured a ball of cobalt energy, letting it fly around my arm. “In time, they found out that their universe being pushed to its limit of capacity. They had the technology to make and control magic, and probably some other possibilities. But they didn’t have the power to destroy, or to be more concise, completely delete anything.” I terminated my control over the energy ball, letting it dissipate.
“Completely… Delete?”
“Yes. Not annihilation of positive against negative as you may possibly assume, but the total erasure of something from existence. Or… completely deleting existence itself.”
“So Aurion-san, that Lost Logia…”
“Bingo. The Perfect Void, is a Lost Logia capable of perfectly erasing anything from existence.”
“Somehow, that sounds-”
“Impossible? Heh. I didn’t want to believe it myself. But, that Lost Logia is not just a fabrication of imagination. It was in the possession of a group of people seventeen years ago. ‘The Messengers of the Void.’"
"And that Lost Logia is also the very reason why my soul… Got deleted.”
More to come at a later time. Crptic, huh?
A lost logia that can delete anything.......
@ those who commented on part 3 Thanks for the comments. Appreciate it
Cool! My squad were really showcased well. Though Cressida shouldn't have been captured so easily. Ah well, fanservice. *looks at Kha, Smith and Wesson*
Don't forget Mai

So you're telling us... Aurion doesn't have a soul? Damn... that's prime Pariah material right there

Just rephrasing it for my sake... the last RL person with such a description ended up with a horrible nosejob and ended up as a pedo

Buster Form?
It was rare enough to see Kay wear her Barrier jacket asides from exceptional situations, let alone a second mode. Wearing a grey and brown full body suit with padded gloves I’ve never seen before…
“Like it?” She asked. “Firs t time I’ll be field testing this Barrier Jacket mode. And you’re my first victim.”
Cocky as always. “We’ll see about that. “
But I don’t plan on losing out to her new equipment. I took out a silver pendant hidden inside my pants pocket. The Necrontyr Sigil.
After the Megiddo incident, we discovered that the changes to Sophia’s form were not permanent. The Black Tablet responsible for the changes could be separated, reverting to the form of a small, silver pendant. This can be considered Iisa’s way of making amends for the mental distress he gave me. At any time, I can convert Sophia to its more powerful form by inserting the pendant into its storage chamber.
“Deploy, Staff of Light.”
The arcing green energies of the Sigil blinded me temporarily. When the light cleared Sophia now sported the Staff of Light’s black blades and green sigil. It felt strange… the staff I once loathed, and had not seen for four months now. How my fear, arrogance and pettiness almost led me to forsake my device. But I have long realized that no matter the physical changes it may undergo, Sophia is still Sophia, the Staff of Wisdom that had seen me through all comers for most of my life.
The Staff felt light, almost weightless in my right hand, both created from Necron technology. Whatever Kay had in store with her new Buster Form, we’ll be ready for it.
Right Sophia?
“Yes Master Bruce.”
I’d forgotten about that glitch… and Kay was unsuccessfully hiding a guilty smirk from me…
“Kay, change it back.”
“Only if you defeat me here.” Kay challenged, with that nasty glint in her eyes.
I’ll have to put up with it a little longer…

- TSAB Midchilda Headquarters – Main Command Base, Kuragana.
- 79th Army Battalion General Hiram Maxim’s Office:
These children.
Watching them reminds me terribly of my age. My youthfulness has long gone, my glory days long past. And very soon, God knows I shall retire from sixty long years of service. Not long thereafter my failing health will deliver swift deliverance for me. And for these reasons I must watch over them.
Through these displays I shall observe their little exercise. The moments my children will put their passions and their efforts into. Where their skills will be tested in the nature of light-hearted yet committed play.
And none more playful than Smith and Wesson.
“File Open.”
The mechanical voice of my computer assistant responds. She is my only company in this room amidst my self-imposed solitude. And in the light of the holodisplay, I read on their profile:

Even in their profile, these two souls fated to be inseparable. Where one is present, the other is sure to be. You cannot have one without the other.
It has been so since the beginning, when our paths first crossed fourteen years ago, on that cold October day.
I found them lying there in the rain, soaking wet and awfully cold. The pitiful boys, ragged from an indescribably harsh journey, their puny naked bodies all but devoid of life. Clinging desperately to their sole possessions, a hopelessly soiled blanket and two jade pendants. This wretched sight was of no consequence to many who saw them, who could care less for the plight of these children forsaken.
But despite all they were lacking, and the cruelty of their fate, what little they wore I could not expect.
Their smiles.
Even in their sleep, only inches away from death, they smiled. A contented smile without a trace of regret or contempt. Two identical smiles of purity. And as they hugged each other, struggling for the tiniest vestige of warmth they smiled, I realized, because they had each other.
And the sight tore at my heart with unimaginable guilt.
With my bare hands I scooped up their tiny bodies and carried them home, to where I can tend for them. To give them the warmth and care they deserved.
When they woke up they held little regard for decency or respect, and proceeded to lay waste to the food I had prepared for them like ravenous beasts. But with the absolute joy in their eyes at partaking of my gift to them, and their subsequent gratitude, trusting and unsullied with greed. These boys, I promised them then, I would take care of them.
They could not remember their origins, nor their parents, if any. Only the hardship they had endured for the years they can recall, and their names, engraved on the jade pendants they treasured: Remington Cassius Smith, and Colt Sauer Wesson. Two young strangers, randomly coupled by happenstance in a cruel world.
Through the years, this small detail would never fail to astound me as I watched them grow under my charge, having adopted them as legal sons of mine. In the most dire of circumstances, and in the darkest of times; through the joy of success and the light of happiness, their bond was resolute. This bond wore down the hardships and pains, and it enhanced the lives they filled with their own happiness. A bond of brotherhood, borne not from blood, but by heart.
Through it all, I hesitated in making them call me as father; realizing the pressure I would be giving them. I did not desire binding them down with the burden of expectation, as free spirits they both are. Whenever they asked me what to call me, I told them as I always have. I am your General, and both of you soldiers of your own destiny.
Only four years after that fateful October 1st… they applied for Bureau Cadetship. Both of them found the same dream. To Serve, and Protect.
Wow Lowe... how do you come up with this stuff?? That was very touching...
Cant wait for more Kay x Glock.

Aaron, you're stepping into very serious territory here! Souls?!
Waiting for more... I certainly want to know how Aaron is "alive" without a soul.
2. Uh... Okay. I was hoping 2 to make my life easier. Anyway don't expect anything hen; I'm just not good at it, so it's just stylish aat best, bumpy at worst.

Well this is going to be my last contribution so to speak. It's to tie in what Kha's got to say to Serge so that he knows the reason why Kha is agreeing to release Serge unconditionally, and at the same time it'll give everyone in the Silvana medbay, and us on this side of the 4th Wall, the truth of Kha's existence, and the implications of the wider world. I'm still trying to squeeze Kluize into this, but as I go along expect the Nanohaverse to be revolutionalized again, and again, even after AO's, and Aurion's, boneshaking discoveries.

If it were funny, I would've called Zero no Tsukaima. But... HOT DAMN this Pariah material is really interesting... Has implications for Kha in the CrosyS arc, for...

Kha gains Pariah Mana Signature! (You can now detect Pariahs.)
I'm sure Dr Macabee's still out there... MOAR! We're still hanging in the air!!!

Waiting for more... I certainly want to know how Aaron is "alive" without a soul.
I'm already talking about Ethereal Hearts and Souls and the Soul Cycle of the Immaterium and the Naaru, Quera and the Chaos demons, so... not too farfetched given the current state of the fanon Nanohaverse.
I think I'm gonna spoil everyone here, so please don't read it if you can, for Thisguy has given me foresight up to epi 19 from his nifty magazine work, but this came out of my head upon seeing it...
Possible scenario, major spoilers!
Spoiler for Mission Failed:
Erio and Caro froze.
Their home, and base of operations, Ground Central... Everything was in rubble gutted with flames still burning where the leylines have detonated.
But what really terrified them was that crashed into the ground was the burning scrunched remains of a black and red transport helicopter that they both knew too well: the Blackbird.
"No... way..." Caro tried not to scream. "Where's... everybody..."
Erio spied someone lying on the ground, and he ran over. "Nee-san!!!"
The boy shook Allison lightly, but she remained unconscious, her face twisted in pain. He hastily stood up as Caro ran over.
"MEISTER! SOPHIA-SAN!" He yelled to no one. "ARTEI-SAN! KAEMPFER!"
No answer.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!"
The young couple heard someone cough, then looked up at a body tumbling down a pile of crumbled facade.
"M-MEISTER!!!"
Kha struggled to get up, but his body refused to listen. Erio could see the Knight's armor was the most smashed up state he had ever seen them in; the left shoulder plate and thruster pack have been blasted off, leaving sparking, frayed cables; a long gash ran diagonally across the back plate, a mess of blood and wires; his face plate bore a deep fist impression; Tausend Kreuz was missing more than half of it's body, and only the spearhead on a stump still remained in Kha's hands. The man managed to flip himself around just as Erio fell to his knees beside him.
"Erio... I--" Kha panted. "Failed..."
"Meister..." The boy could barely control his tears. "Please save your strength... I'll go get--"
"NO!" Kha yelled breathlessly. "No time... Listen... Base lost... Vivio... NGH!"
"Meister!"
"GYAH!!! Vi-vio... Kidnapped... Relics... Too strong... Regroup and attack now... before..."
Actually, ever since Keroko started blasting Kha for his comments on tentacles (I've turned that into a scene, just need to polish up ), everyone's been thinking that Keroko's a tsundere. And if I release the proposed classroom meeting, it might get worse, until I reach a later part...
One little post did all that?
Maybe I should have posted a little personallity development sooner....

I’ve been able to talk with a very interesting person several years ago.” I looked at Fate.
Cryptic, huh?
A complete void, huh? Sounds like what Sargeras wants to do. No wonder Neltharion's Dark Magic responded.
Speaking of Neltharion, I dug up one of the rare artworks of him.
Spoiler for Neltharion:
Unfortunately, this image doesn't really show how imposingly big he is. I do have a picture of another one of the aspects: Alextrasza the life-binder. This pictue is just to show how freakisly huge the aspects are.

Cool, did you already have it in mind before I revealed AO's background? So far this Perfect Void is a good candidate for the source of new imbalance, or at least will attract SSD attention. BTW AT was supposed to fullfill Perfect Void's role in the Universe where AO was created, but that attempt failed. Who's standing behind Perfect Void I wonder.

Verdict: The LRW are too strong...
@Erio: Do you intend to have your LRW live past the end of StrikerS? Or are they "judged guilty"?
As much as I want to know what happens next in the anime so I can use the info for my OCs, I still wont dare hit that Show button.
"LRW are too strong"... I like that line. Maybe the characters I'm developing are not too far off from "reality" (in terms of power at least)... though it will be a month from now until I find out.
Well, I dont know what you mean by judged guilty, but I will assume either dead or imprisoned for life. My original plan is no, of course. In fact, for a few weeks already I've had a lot of ideas for the continuation of the story past the StrikerS timeline, probably something similar to the Necrons threat, though my group is not part of the military so the story will be more adventure/discovery than a huge, long war. Anyway, not all of my LRW may make it out of the StrikerS timeline... will have to see the anime... (I'm no longer really worried about linking my story to StrikerS, though... so depends on how good are the StrikerS events, really)
Why do you ask, though? What do you have in mind? (If it involves spoilers, try not to spoil...much...)
Aaron, you're stepping into very serious territory here! Souls?!
Waiting for more... I certainly want to know how Aaron is "alive" without a soul.
You'll see. It's a WTF reason.

Regroup and attack now... before..."
The white armored hand let go of Tausend Kreuz and flopped to the ground.
"Mei-meister?" Erio blinked. "Meister? Meister?!"
"MEISTEEEEEER!!!!!!"
Verdict: The LRW are too strong...
Cool! Can you send me the spoiler too, please?

Something along those lines, yes. I'll explain more later.

Spoiler for Alextrasza:
Puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
HOLY SMOKES! Those dragons are LARGE!

Yes. It was in the drawing board even before Regression Impulse Blaster. Though the situation of the Perfect Void currently may be a little disappointing to know.

Hey there, Ratler! Been a while since we've seen you here. About the how the hell do you fight that thing, I have a plot device in store.
This is Part 1 of the LineBackers profile, rather short compared to my previous OC's.
Spoiler for Crossings:
*Midchilda Coastal Area*
Buster Form?
It was rare enough to see Kay wear her Barrier jacket asides from exceptional situations, let alone a second mode. Wearing a grey and brown full body suit with padded gloves I’ve never seen before…
“Like it?” She asked. “First time I’ll be field testing this Barrier Jacket mode.

Wow...that's a short but sweet profile.

~ Epilogue : FINAL ~ Goodbye ~
The sun rose earlier that morning, as my dreams was shattered.
And right now as the sun sets an admonishing red, I slowly finished the final touches on the stone I carved, placing it on the ground, amidst the high plains of a small hill that overlooks the final battlefield of that war.
I held some dirt of the ground as I let it scatter a little atop the clean tablet, as the dirt slowly muddled out and made clear the words I carved on it.
~ In this place lie the memories, the sadness, the anguish, the fetters, the souls, the blood and everything that existed and lived for that foolish civil war.
Knights of Belka, rest upon your embodiment, for your faith is proven. And those who have lived shall live on, for we shall never forget the tragedy that befell the Belka.
This will be my final memory to all of you. I shall entrust your history to the future, so that the generations ahead of us, will look upon us, and forge a future of their own.
Those who see this, all I ask is that you remember the scene you witness before you, and never forget, the last night sky of this world before you.
Never forget.~
As I looked on…
“Tiara, Isdera, Wira, Astra, Shamal, Zafira Knight Signum, Count Vita, the other lightning knight of the sky, everyone… rest upon these lands you were born in, and also the land you gave your lives for. I’ll never forget any of you…”
The memories of those who died will always live within me…but that is all. Right now, I no longer feel anything for the ground of which I was born…I no longer hold any sentiments or attachment to my lineage, to my land…
“I will live on for as long as I can. Until then…goodbye.”
As I bid my final farewell to my fallen friends and to this land, I turned around as I slowly walked away… when I mildly coughed out some blood….
“Looks like it won’t be long anyway…”
~3 years later~
“Meister! Meister!”
I hear the cries of my young disciple, as I lied on the bed, weak, fragile, barely able to move…a mere shadow of my former self, as I coughed out more blood.
3 years had passed since then… I left my homeland, and went to the world my teacher originated from…the land across the sea, a peaceful Belkan nation. As fate determined it, that magical explosion when Tiara died may not had killed me, but its after-effects were enough to contaminate my body… and these 3 years were my final hours.
After the war…I retired as a knight, as I went on to pursue my childhood dream, as a scholar of magic. I came to these lands to see the world with my own eyes… learning the complexities, formulas and appliances of magical theories, along with the evolving craft of magic in terms of science…. I took upon myself a young, bright child, merely 10 of age to be my disciple, as we traveled the lands, in pursuit of knowledge, never staying in a same place for more than a week…We were nomads.
Along with the Tome, the remnants of my former comrades, my student, I became a traveler, as I scoured the world I was once told of with my own eyes and arms.
I saw a world beyond what I thought existed… and throughout the days, the months…these 3 years; I learned what the Tome of the Night Sky was truly capable of…
It was not something that was made to be used by a human... In fact, it was something that shouldn’t exist at all…but I couldn’t bring myself to destroy it...
Because…it was what I have left of her…
That is why…the only thing I can do now…is to protect what’s left of her, and to entrust that to the future.
Because I promised her.
“My student…looks like my time is coming to its end… Fate has struck its mortal blow.”
“Don’t speak that way! You will survive.”
“No…it is my time to become one with the Holy Belka…that is why, listen to me…Listen to this fool’s last will.”
“…Please.”
“Once, there was…”
And thus…I told him, my story…something I never once told him…of my past, of my birth, of my knighthood, of my ascension, of my comrades, of my love, and the finality of the tragedy…
“That is…”
“unbelievable. I know…but that is the truth of my history.”
But that is only the beginning…a past is just a story. What matters…
“What is the limits of a Storage Device…do you know that?”
“Yes…you taught me that without an appliance of actual simulated intelligence, it can only capture essence of things in a two-dimensional plane.”
Yes…that is the general limit of Storage Devices…
“But the Tome I carry, the Tome of the Night Sky is the sole living exception….
No…in a way, its’s not even just a Storage Device… It is more of Intelligent Storage Device of Unison and Armed properties… Not only is it able to capture the elements of magic in a two-dimensional and three-dimensional plane…it can capture…everything….Even what makes up the existence of a human…memories…the body, the strength, everything except a soul.
Even though physically…only 666 pages exist for it can be filled by channeling it with magical powers of extreme proportions…those 666 pages are not even its storage, but the access protocol to what it can store… Within this tome, although its heavily fragmented after the death of its original Mistress, it has stored the memories, the concept of existence, and the histories that accumulate before the eyes of its user. Its limits…are immeasurable. Technically…it is even possible to simulate an entire world with enough concepts stored in it.... Like an eternal dream.”
Yes…like that dream…a dream created from my inner wishes, and desires…
“However, a power like this is also extremely dangerous…as it taps into the human mind, and emotions freely, and humans...are just inadequate. They’re weak to temptation, and are prone to the darkness of human emotions…I know I once did. That is why…the Mother Program was installed in it. A unique defense program that prevents complete override of the user’s emotions and impulses by creating a physical low-intelligence sub-existence within the Tome... however, that itself is not foolproof as it too, can be easily subjected to the user’s complete emotional rejection, as in the end…it is part of the administrated system.”
Like the darkness that surrounded Tiara…a darkness that responded to her inner sadness…
“Within this Tome… I’ve restored a huge number of its pages over these 3 years, and had reconstructed its fragmented existence… right now; it holds everything I and the one I loved had seen before my eyes, the history, the tragedy, the happiness…everything, and I will pass it on to you.”
“…Why?”
“We cannot cling to the past…We can only learn from it, and pass the torch on to the future… and let them see our dark and painful history…so that it is never repeated….
You will be the new Meister of the Tome of the Night Sky.”
“But…if even Meister cannot control its power, how can I?”
“So long…as you do not abuse what it is capable of, and merely uses it for what I had taught you for all these years, for the sake of learning, teaching…for the sake of a better future, there will no problems. Besides…I intend to…”
I took out Isdera’s sword, the ruby of Wira, and the remains of Astra’s ring…Vorhang… Even in the end, I still had to rely on all of you…I’m sorry. Then, I channeled all our powers, as my body slowly dissipated…
“Meister!”
“I would channel everything of myself…to this Tome, as my existence attaches itself to this Tome as its pages…So long as those pages are there, the Mother System cannot be activated, and its functions will be limited… the Tome will only respond to the ones I chose, and the ones you will chose in the future, and further on… This is the last thing…I can do for you.”
“Meister!!!!”
“Goodbye.”
~~~
In the end… my life was used to become 335 external pages to the Tome of the Night Sky, as an external security program…
1001 Pages… The Tome of 1001 Night Skies, otherwise simply known as the Tome of the Night Sky was born.
And 24 years of my life…came to its end…
But…that was just the beginning…
“What the?” the two thought as the seal roiled even further.
Then, the water exploded, revealing a lot of Fang Drones and some of the newer Type-7 Gadgets- “White Fang Drones” as Rurika quoted- since they bore resemblance to the black fangs- though only in white.
“Not these guys again!” Ashton said as he narrowly missed behing piled upon.
The whte fangs began firing at Ashton while the black ones began pursuing Subaru. Meanwhile at the Silvana, things were a bit… weird.
“Where did those two go to this time?” Kyla can’t believe what Vincent was saying- that Ashton had somehow struck a nerve in Subaru and the two went off like kids. “Can you find them?”
“We’re still searching… but it’s beyond the ship’s passive range, we’ll be going active in about…”
Then, a crystalline ping sound can be heard across the ship.
“… now.” Vincent quickly closed the line. “Well?”
“Still waiting for the return bounce…” Sensors replied. “The air currents are stable so we can expect it to…”
“To what?”
“Locate the two of them…” Sensors replied, and then raised the alert. “And a lot of enemy drones!!!”
“Great…” Kyla could only smack her palm on her face. “How far are they…”
“Based on the ground and ionosphere bounce, more than 300 kilometers away…”
“I’ve already ordered some of the CAP (Combat Air Patrol) White Valkyries (those same otome-type valkyies but white) to proceed to the area…” Vincent replied. “They’ll arrive in 5 minutes…”
“Thank you Vincent, and bring the ship to full speed… I’m heading towards the bridge.” Kyla stood up from her chair.
Back at the beach, things are not looking as good, though drones left and right were being wrecked, there were still plenty- and the duo now with backs against each other’s.
“This is nuts!!!” Subaru began to whine.
“For once, i agree with you- these drones are not just a problem- they are pesky and do not mind us resting!” Ashton replied, managing to cut a couple of drones with his wire.
“And we were just becoming formal friends too! the last thing on my mind is them spoiling that!” Subaru agrees, firing off a shot.
“How about showing these guys how friends fight together?”
“I agree... Let's do this!!!”
Both hold hands, the familiar warmth and energy of fusing starting to flow- but it was more familiar to both of them- somehow this time, it was really nostalgic, even if it was a first for them.
[insert re-henshin scene here]
“Whoa…” Ashton materialized and floated beside Subaru, Core Jacket now worn. “Finally some clothing…”
Then, something bumps Subaru’s head, making her note and tilt the thing down.
“A halo?” she asked.
The drones were no longer taking idle- the last time they jumped on them fusing- the first time; they were dead in their tracks and observing. It was no surprise to the duo though. Well as with them drones, their enemy had two sets of eyes, and jumped to evade. Meanwhile, under the water, a single glowing eye is lit, studying the events. After a few minutes, all the drones were damaged, some were already destroyed.
Then, just as the duo almost began to give chase, the sea again exploded. And the duo were surprised as to who, or rather, what came out, for it looked like… (lol its supposed to look like an Einst)
“That looks like one of the Zakums that we have!” Ashton alarmed, as they dodged a beam. “But… it isn’t one!”
“Great not another one… Let’s take it down with one shot!!!” Subaru replied, prepping for a Divine Buster.
“I agree.”
They sped up and managed to plant a fist on the enemy’s APF shield. Meanwhile, at the dark dimension, the AI known as XANA Zwei began to sneer.
“Hmp… your minds are too simple, humans…”
“Divine… Buster!!!” Subaru then called, releasing the blast mere feet from the unknown, (Like in StrikerS Ep1) enveloping it in a blast cloud. “Is it…”
The reply from the cloud was not a good sign, hitting the duo.
“Heh…” a voice came in from the cloud- similar to the AI in the dark dimension. “You pathethic humans… never expected that huh? Well I’ll tell you what to expect, your deaths…”
“Oh shut up!” Ashton’s pissed voice came in. “Blah-blah this and that…”
Subaru stood up and the mysterious droid focused on the mage’s left arm- the Key device that was worn there was already spinning its overdrive engine.
“Overdrive!!!” Ashton yelled as Subaru began to charge for another buster.
“Are you sure of this?” Subaru thought.
“Yes… I’ll lend you my power… now Praesulus!”
The familiar energy ball once again gathered, but instead of behing floated to be punched, it remained in the cup of Subaru’s hands- akin to a famed energy attack of a seemingly overpowered world.
“Break… Impact… PULSE!!!”
Subaru then thrusted her cupped hands outward, projecting the beam, a much more powerful beam towards the target.
R/R please... working on Part 3 as i post this.
After scolding the two, I finally started to get to the explanation…
“First, what would you like to ask?”
“Well, I’m most curious as to why Kha and feel weird around you. Can you finally explain to us?”
I took a deep breath and started.
“I assume that you all know that I was an Enforcer seventeen years ago, as well as losing my left arm in the process, correct?”
They nodded.
“This ‘feeling’ you’re getting, can most likely be related to what caused me to retire from active duty. A Lost Logia.”
At this point, Nanoha spoke up, “Hayate-chan had attempted to search the TSAB records about your Enforcer history, but the data about seventeen years ago were classified.”
“Hayate?” She was digging up on my background? Heh, as to be expected from her… Honestly that girl, I’ll be scolding her tomorrow.
“Hah, it should pretty well damned be classified. Some of the higher-ups have been doing me favors, after all. Almaria, projection mode.”
[Understood…]
A small dome of light surrounded the five of us, enclosing us in a dome where I ca freely project any visual data stored in my devices’ memory.
“Visual log, 351A72.”
[Hai.]
A few moments later, the image of a sickeningly pulsating void appeared at the center of the projection, haloed by an intricate silver contraption. The girls flinched at the horrid sight while Kha’s eyes widened in surprise.
“This… Is one of the most dangerous Lost Logia to be ever documented in TSAB history. It’s tentatively named the Perfect Void.”
“Perfect Void?” Fate approached the image a little, squinting a bit at the swirling mass at the center. She almost immediately averted her eyes, obviously not being able to take the image so easily. Kha immediately approached her and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder. Fate leaned closer to him.
“Sempai, what does it do?”
“Well, before I answer that, can I ask you four a question?”
“Huh?”
“Tell me. What do you get in the absence of light?”
Keroko answered, “Darkness.”
“Mostly correct. Now, in the absence of darkness, what is there?”
Kha answered this time, a bit more doubtful in his tone, “Light? But Sempai, wouldn’t that be-”
“You can’t really have one without the other, right?” I cut him off. He nodded.
“Well then, tell me. What is there when there is neither light nor darkness.”
“What?”
“Is there?”
“Sempai, that’s impossible! There would be nothing left!”
I smirked at him. “Exactly. Nothing.”
The image at the middle of the projection exploded and roiled around us, gaining a gasp from the Aces.
“When you eliminate the positive, the negative and the neutral, you leave nothing left.” I snapped my fingers and the image vanished, once again leaving us under the late night sky.
“To put it simply, before there ever were, there was nothing. One of the assumed origins of everything we see now is nothing, correct?”
“……………”
“Light, darkness, time, matter, magic, energy, their respective opposites if any, EVERYTHING. All these are said to be completely absent during the very beginning of all existence. To make things simpler, imagine the universe as an empty data storage device. Everything we perceive now has filled the void with existence. Or in my example, data. Am I making sense so far?”
They gave me a reluctant nod. Heh, let’s see if you can wrap your heads around this.
“Let’s alter the analogy a bit. Let us suppose that the universe is a computer from Earth. If a computer there is overloaded with data, it gets broken. And when there is not enough key data, it won’t even work. That’s the way how it works, am I right?”
The girls nodded.
“Apparently, the universe is supposed to work the same way. When there’s too much or too little data, it gets destroyed. I’ve been able to talk with a very interesting person several years ago.” I looked at Fate. “I don’t know whether to believe or not, but this Multiverse is apparently not the first.” She visually stiffened at the mention.
“I was told that the assumed first ever Multiverse had no natural magic, only the most advanced technology capable of making such. The denizens of that phase were obviously thrilled with the concept, the creation of something out of nothing, magic particles.” At this point, I conjured a ball of cobalt energy, letting it fly around my arm. “In time, they found out that their universe being pushed to its limit of capacity. They had the technology to make and control magic, and probably some other possibilities. But they didn’t have the power to destroy, or to be more concise, completely delete anything.” I terminated my control over the energy ball, letting it dissipate.
“Completely… Delete?”
“Yes. Not annihilation of positive against negative as you may possibly assume, but the total erasure of something from existence. Or… completely deleting existence itself.”
“So Aurion-san, that Lost Logia…”
“Bingo. The Perfect Void, is a Lost Logia capable of perfectly erasing anything from existence.”
“Somehow, that sounds-”
“Impossible? Heh. I didn’t want to believe it myself. But, that Lost Logia is not just a fabrication of imagination. It was in the possession of a group of people seventeen years ago. ‘The Messengers of the Void.’"
"And that Lost Logia is also the very reason why my soul… Got deleted.”
How to defeat nothingness....that plot device better explain it....
"GYAH!!! Vi-vio... Kidnapped... Relics... Too strong... Regroup and attack now... before..."
The white armored hand let go of Tausend Kreuz and flopped to the ground.
"Mei-meister?" Erio blinked. "Meister? Meister?!"
"MEISTEEEEEER!!!!!!"
Verdict: The LRW are too strong...
Wonder what Erio's gonna do next?
Unfortunately, this image doesn't really show how imposingly big he is. I do have a picture of another one of the aspects: Alextrasza the life-binder. This pictue is just to show how freakisly huge the aspects are.
Spoiler for Alextrasza:
Puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
Pretty nice art, I expected them to be blood-thirsty robots though. Dunno why.
After scolding the two, I finally started to get to the explanation…
“First, what would you like to ask?”
“Well, I’m most curious as to why Kha and feel weird around you. Can you finally explain to us?”
I took a deep breath and started.
“I assume that you all know that I was an Enforcer seventeen years ago, as well as losing my left arm in the process, correct?”
They nodded.
“This ‘feeling’ you’re getting, can most likely be related to what caused me to retire from active duty. A Lost Logia.”
At this point, Nanoha spoke up, “Hayate-chan had attempted to search the TSAB records about your Enforcer history, but the data about seventeen years ago were classified.”
“Hayate?” She was digging up on my background? Heh, as to be expected from her… Honestly that girl, I’ll be scolding her tomorrow.
“Hah, it should pretty well damned be classified. Some of the higher-ups have been doing me favors, after all. Almaria, projection mode.”
[Understood…]
A small dome of light surrounded the five of us, enclosing us in a dome where I ca freely project any visual data stored in my devices’ memory.
“Visual log, 351A72.”
[Hai.]
A few moments later, the image of a sickeningly pulsating void appeared at the center of the projection, haloed by an intricate silver contraption. The girls flinched at the horrid sight while Kha’s eyes widened in surprise.
“This… Is one of the most dangerous Lost Logia to be ever documented in TSAB history. It’s tentatively named the Perfect Void.”
“Perfect Void?” Fate approached the image a little, squinting a bit at the swirling mass at the center. She almost immediately averted her eyes, obviously not being able to take the image so easily. Kha immediately approached her and laid a comforting hand on her shoulder. Fate leaned closer to him.
“Sempai, what does it do?”
“Well, before I answer that, can I ask you four a question?”
“Huh?”
“Tell me. What do you get in the absence of light?”
Keroko answered, “Darkness.”
“Mostly correct. Now, in the absence of darkness, what is there?”
Kha answered this time, a bit more doubtful in his tone, “Light? But Sempai, wouldn’t that be-”
“You can’t really have one without the other, right?” I cut him off. He nodded.
“Well then, tell me. What is there when there is neither light nor darkness.”
“What?”
“Is there?”
“Sempai, that’s impossible! There would be nothing left!”
I smirked at him. “Exactly. Nothing.”
The image at the middle of the projection exploded and roiled around us, gaining a gasp from the Aces.
“When you eliminate the positive, the negative and the neutral, you leave nothing left.” I snapped my fingers and the image vanished, once again leaving us under the late night sky.
“To put it simply, before there ever were, there was nothing. One of the assumed origins of everything we see now is nothing, correct?”
“……………”
“Light, darkness, time, matter, magic, energy, their respective opposites if any, EVERYTHING. All these are said to be completely absent during the very beginning of all existence. To make things simpler, imagine the universe as an empty data storage device. Everything we perceive now has filled the void with existence. Or in my example, data. Am I making sense so far?”
They gave me a reluctant nod. Heh, let’s see if you can wrap your heads around this.
“Let’s alter the analogy a bit. Let us suppose that the universe is a computer from Earth. If a computer there is overloaded with data, it gets broken. And when there is not enough key data, it won’t even work. That’s the way how it works, am I right?”
The girls nodded.
“Apparently, the universe is supposed to work the same way. When there’s too much or too little data, it gets destroyed. I’ve been able to talk with a very interesting person several years ago.” I looked at Fate. “I don’t know whether to believe or not, but this Multiverse is apparently not the first.” She visually stiffened at the mention.
“I was told that the assumed first ever Multiverse had no natural magic, only the most advanced technology capable of making such. The denizens of that phase were obviously thrilled with the concept, the creation of something out of nothing, magic particles.” At this point, I conjured a ball of cobalt energy, letting it fly around my arm. “In time, they found out that their universe being pushed to its limit of capacity. They had the technology to make and control magic, and probably some other possibilities. But they didn’t have the power to destroy, or to be more concise, completely delete anything.” I terminated my control over the energy ball, letting it dissipate.
“Completely… Delete?”
“Yes. Not annihilation of positive against negative as you may possibly assume, but the total erasure of something from existence. Or… completely deleting existence itself.”
“So Aurion-san, that Lost Logia…”
“Bingo. The Perfect Void, is a Lost Logia capable of perfectly erasing anything from existence.”
“Somehow, that sounds-”
“Impossible? Heh. I didn’t want to believe it myself. But, that Lost Logia is not just a fabrication of imagination. It was in the possession of a group of people seventeen years ago. ‘The Messengers of the Void.’"
"And that Lost Logia is also the very reason why my soul… Got deleted.”
More to come at a later time. Crptic, huh?
No soul? Huh... well, there could be worse things, I suppose...
Onto other business
Re: AlternateS II - I have a few points that I'd like clarified?
1) Is this a joint project between you and Kha?
2) You are the one writing this, correct?
If 2 is true, then continue; if it is not, then you can stop here.
3) I have some scenes in my head which involve the 82nd, and ONLY the 82nd. Could I possibly be the writer for those?
4) When there are scenes involving the 82nd, could I have some input, or at least pre-read to make sure they stay TTC?
5) Can I have input on the general direction of the 82nd?
XANA Zwei? I expect a tower and returning to the past .
PSST~ don't! well it's the zwei version... might as well be unbridled in chaos making...
- I was thinking of an alternate concept to current Neo-Velkanisim - though not implemented due to things happening, and the original plans lost- hence the rise of current trend of neo-velka... this 'original plan' also had ties with MC, but in a different matter.
"The weapon is not just the embodiment of the Velkan Knight's soul... in destined knights, it becomes not just the weapon. If the knight manages to summon something more than just his or her weapon, he or she becomes an 'Armored Knight'" - File recovered from the Yagami household, Osaka - now in the Infinity Library.
- Knight Armor and Armored Knight Armor are two different things.
- the concept needs much more cool name than just 'Armored Knight'
===
@Reiji:
1: I primarily carry the AlternateS franchise - with Kha and a few others helping - Like in his Nanoha file - though it is vice versa.
2: Yes...
3: Yes, for concept purposes - I let Kha do some when I'm not so sure about the flow of a certain scene.
- That reminds me @ Kha: your updated profiles please.
4: Yes... I allow some form of beta ray gun examination - thought usually over messenger - live - though i email transcripts as well
5: hmmm since AltenrateS II is under a pre-writeup phase... i suggest only Boomer coming out for now.
Almost done with 'Second Fusion Pt. 2'
Spoiler for A Visit to RF6: Part 4.3 : Revelations~An Old Armageddon:
“WHAT?!”
The four of them were now staring at me like I’m a ghost. Heh. Really now…
“Hehehe. Hahahaha!” The girls were now backing away, with Kha situating himself between me and them. Honestly, these kids…“Geez you guys are so gullible. It was a LIE, get it? My soul is still intact!”
“…………………..”
“Hey.”
“MOOOOOUUUUUUU!”
In a blink, the girls’ irritated faces were already glaring inches from mine. I backed away a few paces for comfort.
“Hehe. Peace?”
“Why do you always have to tease us?!”
“That wasn’t nice!”
“And we thought you were completely serious!”
“Well, you looked so serious that I couldn’t help it!”
“OJI-CHAN NO BAKA!!!”
“C-calm down. Hehe.”
With a collective “Hmph!” the girls crossed their arms, puffed their cheeks and turned away in irritation. Wait; aren’t you girls a little too synchronized? Don’t tell me you’ve been practicing! Even Kha was now staring at his fellow Aces in wonder.
“It was just an icebreaker. This day has stayed too serious too long for my own taste. Anyway, back to discussion. No more jokes.” Slowly, they all settled down again to listen.
“These ‘Messengers of the Void,’ as they call themselves, are a group of people who viewed the current universe as corrupted beyond repair. So, with the influence of the Lost Logia, they began a systematic rampage of deletion.” A data screen with several profiles appeared before us. “At first, they were viewed by some factions as helpful, being the downfalls of several criminal organizations.”
“So they were taking justice into their own hands?”
“That was the general consensus. However, their chain of command obviously had similar sentiments about the ruling bodies of the Multiverse, namely the TSAB. The conflict really started when completely erased an entire planet under TSAB jurisdiction.” As expected, a ripple of shock showed in the faces of my companions.
“They destroyed an entire planet?”
“And they would have destroyed more. This may seem like actions of self-righteous people, but it would seem like this wasn’t the case.”
“What do you mean?”
“Before I tell you, I’d like to confuse you just a bit more.”
“Wha-?”
“Some of the more conspicuous members of this organization claimed that they were righteously chosen as the judges of all life, also saying that they had the power that even surpassed those of gods.”
At this point, Kha interjected with some indignation. “Blasphemy! They’re just another group of people who wants to play God! They can’t possibly surp-”
“Correct. If they were as tough as they claimed, they wouldn’t be taken down by just one elite squad of TSAB Enforcers, wouldn’t they?” A new data screen appeared, my profile being present along with some others.
“…………..”
“So that means that you were in that squad...”
“Exactly. I was part of the now defunct Spectral Enforcers, then one of the more recognized Enforcer Squads almost two decades ago. It was our last mission as a squad before retirement, or to be more precise, before we were wiped out ourselves.”
“And that’s when… Your arm was lost?”
“… Yes.” I raised my prosthetic arm. “That was my last mission as a TSAB Enforcer. I was the third in command of our squad. Our leader and deputy leader were a husband and wife. Both ranked S mages. We were sent in to systematically eliminate the members of the said group. At first, we were mostly successful, being able to infiltrate their base of operations. But that is where it all went wrong. We were found out and forced to fight against a large number of the ‘Gun of Dis’; their own special group of partially deleted individuals.”
“Partially deleted?”
“Yes. The TSAB has typically assumed that the Perfect Void is a Lost Logia capable of completely deleting a given area when prompted. The assumption is mostly correct. However, it also had another capability; partial deletion of one aspect of existence. Sounds vague, huh?”
“………………”
“Anyway, like what the classification of the ability says, the Perfect Void at times deletes only one or a few aspects of a certain entity. For example, there was one such opponent that got his magic capacity completely deleted, allowing for nigh infinite magical potential; another one had her telepathical limits deleted, allowing her to perceive the thoughts of anybody. It was all a matter of luck. You would be briefly brought into the proximity of the Perfect Void. Mostly, those who tried had their life, their humanity, their mentality or anything vital for existence deleted. But there were those were lucky enough to have their weaknesses and limitations deleted. These lucky individuals were considered as the ‘Rightful Judges of the Universe’, and were gathered together to form the ‘Gun of Dis.’”
I stopped and looked at them, waiting for some questions. When none came, I continued.
“Their leader was unidentified. He was the, lets say the luckiest one. It was probably a one in a trillion chance. But the aspects that were deleted from him were the very aspects that limit a mage from being unprecedented in power, and the very power to direct the Perfect Void to delete ‘targets.’ He also had his impossibility of near omniscience about other dimensions deleted; allowing him to perfectly understand and relate the events of even previous universes before this. Still, aside from those, he was nothing more than a fallible entity. And deemed this universe as unfitting for peace. Thus, he formed the ‘Messengers of the Void.’ In a campaign to ‘purge’ the universe of impurities. That’s what he said, but it was actually meant to delete enough key data to completely render this Multiverse inoperable; leading to its destruction and the creation of a new, ideal dimension, where he could build his ‘Kingdom of Everlasting Balance and Happiness.’ Your typical overpowered villain ambition, so to speak. But still, his threat level was definitely off the charts. Our squad was backed behind the scenes by a secret defense organization that I didn’t even know of until that moment, allowing for successful infiltration. The plan was for us to infiltrate and provide an opening for the said organization to come in.”
“So… How did the operation go?”
I gave them a slightly pained smile. “Needless to say, the entire affair was a screwed fiasco. We were captured, tortured and subjected to the Perfect Void, with the promise that we will come to their way of thinking. Their leader was the one who personally subjected us to the trial. Luckily, the defense organization and the TSAB got wind of the situation and opted for Plan B, a direct attack. The resulting chaos was enough chance for some of us to escape. I must say that it was quite surprising to know about the several unbelievably powerful mages on our side. To say the least, we survived the influence of the Perfect Void. But we didn’t know what were wrong with us. One event led to another, but the mission was somehow successful.”
“Wait! That means you’re-”
“Hah. Yes. I am the last ever existing partially deleted entity. At least, until proven otherwise. The rest were wiped out.”
“What happened… to the Lost logia?”
“Oh that? Not to worry. I destroyed it myself.”
!!!!!!!!!!!
“H-how?”
I let out a self-depreciating chuckle. “I was one of the lucky ones, remember? As for me, there were four impossibilities deleted. The first, was the impossibility of freely manipulating magic particles without the use of complicated spells. Second, partial immunity to some effects and influences of some matters. Third, the impossibility of emulating the effects of complete deletion, if imperfectly.”
“So that attack in the end…”
“Aah. Regression Impulse Blaster, a spell that allows me to create a cheap imitation of total deletion by converting magical energy into a void that reverses the process of realization, forcefully erasing mostly anything from existence. A universal negative, so to speak. The one showed there was a safe version of what it truly is. After the death of countless people in that particular planetary system, I was somehow able to destroy the Perfect Void with Regression Impulse Breaker, a spell that came out of nowhere and attached to my head.”
“B-but, how can something that can delete anything be destroyed?”
“Simple. The Perfect void, despite its name, is just another Lost Logia of unknown origins; it’s still just the product of some idiotically advanced technology. Just a tool that can bring about deletion, not deletion itself. Therefore, just hit it with something that deletes as well. That was the most efficient plan. But I’m positive that it can also be destroyed by more conventional means; it’s just a device, after all. Anyway, the initial barrage of Arc-en-Ciel shots were relatively ineffective, but there was enough magic particles around to allow me to destroy it with THAT spell. That spell was the reason my left arm was ripped off. The resulting destruction of the Lost Logia was also the trigger of a large-scale dimensional dislocation. I don’t remember what happened after that. But they said that the Three Legendary Admirals came and patched up the mess in no time. I was granted an injury leave and a big fat paycheck, the mission being documented as a success by conventional means to keep things quiet. After that, you know the rest. I hope that’s enough explanation. To be honest, I’m not fond of that memory at all. The possible reason why Keroko and Kha are uncomfortable around me right now, is that their powers of Neltharion and the Whispers are just reacting to primordial instincts. You tend to fear what is familiar but you cannot recognize. And obviously, the origin, nothing, is familiar but cannot be identified.”
Whew... I guess that solves a little mystery.
Many thanks and apologies for Saint X about the GDI referencing I did.
Sorry.
That spell was the reason my left arm was ripped off. The resulting destruction of the Lost Logia was also the trigger of a large-scale dimensional dislocation. I don’t remember what happened after that. But they said that the Three Legendary Admirals came and patched up the mess in no time. I was granted an injury leave and a big fat paycheck, the mission being documented as a success by conventional means to keep things quiet. After that, you know the rest. I hope that’s enough explanation. To be honest, I’m not fond of that memory at all. The possible reason why Keroko and Kha are uncomfortable around me right now, is that their powers of Neltharion and the Whispers are just reacting to primordial instincts. You tend to fear what is familiar but you cannot recognize. And obviously, the origin, nothing, is familiar but cannot be identified.”
Whew... I guess that solves a little mystery.
Many thanks and apologies for Saint X about the GDI referencing I did.
Sorry.
Why was it... that the Head of the Messengers... his powers...
SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE FEIWANG?!?!?!?!
I dunno if you planned this, but this is a good example of how FW might've came into the sights of the Tripartite. Mind if we take it as such? Or do you have plans with the Head to return?
GDI as the secret defence organization, ne? This must've been before they went public. Can't believe that the old Firehawks and Orcas launching from carriers managed to cause enough mayhem against a force that literally hacked their way out of the rules of the Universe. Or maybe it was the work of the "Commander" who led the GDI to victory in the 3rd Ichor War.
And... I had designed the Void principles into Schneiderform, being a KA that ran on negative energies, and very surprisingly looks like it got verified in fanon. O_O
Creator-san thinks, "I really can read people's minds... Looks like the Newtype reaction has gone into runaway status. ^_^;"
Aurion said "let some of us escape," then the next line he says "I'm the last Partially Deleted Individual." What happened to the rest? I can imagine Kha asking that.
