Well, thematically speaking, Lacus having SEED would match Malchio's concept of SEED while the others so far would match Erica's.

Though, in the end, it doesn't really matter as SEED is still a vague concept altogether.

Well, she was supposed to be miss perfect. No way Cagalli gets to have it and not Lacus.

After reading the last page or so. I think I have a way for them to bring the perfect Strike into play while keeping Mu alive.

If you'll remember, Orb got it's hands on the Strike after the Kira/Athrun fight. In the origanal, they simply rebuild it while adding the natural use OS. What if this time arounf they "upgrade" it to the perfect Strike? Thereby allowing Mu to pilot it, and just barely survive his fight with Rau in the Providence.

I doubt they'll retcon out Destiny in the SEED HD remake. They will surely cash on in SEED Destiny in the future, that's for sure.

So Mwu's fate will most likely stay the same.

you know, just because Lacus was never trained to be a pilot doesn't mean she couldn't become a killing-machine. For all we know she has the potential to be just as good as Athrun or Kira.

my guess is the stress of battle and the adrenaline rush, on top of the debate she was having with herself triggered her seed mode.

Indeed. One of my unfulfilled dream is for her to pilot the Infinite Justice in Destiny so that she & Kira can blow enemy MSs left and right while flirting with each other. Kinda like a dance between two Gundams in the middle of a battle.

Infinite Justice surely match her hair color & her pilot suit.

On the subject of SEED Mode, doesn't it also up someone's thinking power and mental abilities, not just reflexes and piloting abilities? Kira after all pulled off some pretty incredible reprogramming of the Strike's OS during the Desert Tiger arc when he went SEED Mode (granted he also did it in combat in episode 2 or something, but he was only up against a Gin there, in the Desert Tiger arc he was up against whole squads in MS designed specifically for that environment unlike his).

It would explain how having the SEED would benefit Lacus despite not having piloting skills/seeing combat.
