Sakura is one cool MC. Sure there are funny moments where he goes SD but when it comes to substance, he's got guts and the skills to back it up. Now that we've seen the class and some of the other characters, I'm really interested to see how he holds up against them.

First ep was good. The show has great animation, as to be expected given the studio producing it. MC a bit too tsundere for my tastes, but overall, he keeps his demeanor well enough as to where the tsun moments don't feel excessive.
Second ep was also good, but man, I cannot STAND chars like the blond kid. Must every shounen anime have these kinds of chars? Its one thing to have a char like that in passing, but seeing him latch onto MC with his stupid little quips like he doesn't have his own life is really off-putting. Not off-putting enough to drop, but still....

Man, did they really have to do the reiatsu/aura thing? A show that has it, fine, but lets keep the fighting concepts grounded to reality. They could have easily did without the whole "I can't even approach them because their aura is too much!"; just let him see his demeanor changing and that they are stronger just using his observation.
Next ep(today) should be the fights. Hope they didn't blow all of the budget in ep 1's last Sakura-solo segment =0v.... Yeah wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not really. Could have gone both ways. I guess her going to school is just not shown(unless she doesn't attend school, but I'm not sure a single girl working/cooking in a house-/restaurant before and after school is a common occurrence).

Well I knew they wouldn't get to Sakura fight this ep when they were slowly walking to the venue where they would be fighting. Sugi went in full force, knocking the other dude in a single blow. I expected he would flush that guy; he just talked too much s***. But Sou; bruh decided to embarrass his opponent. Did the Rock Lee and everything . Fortunately the animation still good, and can't wait for Sakura fight.
Ume's stare at Tomi and Kame makes me think Kame is the true leader of the Shishitoren, even if he is the 2nd strongest(if he secretly isn't THE strongest). Yeah you're right. I just saw the simple figurative concept and started complaining to myself that it was 'aura'. I've been kinda overly critical about things recently and not paying as much attention . I'm gettin' old .

Honestly this was the first fight that had some interest and some real weight to it. Thanks to the past between the two participants.
So hard to say whether it was better to leave that kid that was getting bullied be considering where things ended up. Trained him, helped him, and gave him a place to be. But then tried to send him off on his own. Certainly not a bad thing in general to try and do. But it didn't have the intended effect and mostly sent the other party spiraling. But hey, that's how it goes. Sometimes things don't work out in an ideal way. At least he did keep any stupid nonsense from happening after the fight. At least did something for his old friend there. Finally we should get Sakura fighting in the next episode. Let's get this one going!

There was a Wind Breaker-themed pop-up store in Shibuya a couple of weeks ago, on the 1st floor of the Q Front building in Shibuya.

I suppose no shock that the issue in that group starts at the top. The top went insane and everything below him became a mess as a result. Whether it was the responsibility of being a leader that wasn't fun or enjoying the chase more than reaching the destination. It's Choji's fault in the end. He either should have turned down the job or designated someone else. Either way he was the one that chose a stupid concept like losing meaning someone is out.
Obviously Togame still owns his share of the blame. He went along with it on the vague hope that someday Choji...would stop being a jerk. It's nice to hope for the best, but clearly a lot of time has passed since that point without any sign of improvement. Choosing to be the bad guy so Choji looks less awful by comparison has at least worked to make him look awful. So much so that it seems believable to Sakura and anyone else that he was fine with his group acting like bullies and attacking middle schoolers. The fight was pretty darn good early on. It was good to see both Sakura's ability and his limits. He's extremely strong, but he does have some ways to go to reach the top! He's still a total beast and credit to him. Sadly the episode ended with the fight kind of stalling out. Togame has lost his drive and Sakura is a bit at a loss since it's not meaningful to fight someone that isn't actually...into the fight.

Good but shortlived fight. I personally think going into the backstory to show what the bad guys once were and how they became who they are today is a bit overdone in anime...especially since it now paints a picture and character dilemma of what's right from wrong and self doubt.
With self doubt comes questionable moves, sullying the epicness of the fight. For the past few episodes, they hyped up these two as really bad people but today they show the flashback of them being happy and soft, until that one incident. |

2nd fight of the episode did not disappoint! Was epic in all the moves. Choiji's movements reminded me of Cammy from SF2 The Animated Movie. He is nimble and agile. We now get to see why/how Umemiya is so strong, and we have a sulking Sakura vowing to get much more stronger as he's currently nowhere near his senpai. Great episode!

I'm good with this. Sakura "won" but doesn't feel like he did. His opponent had more reach and just let it go. Not super satisfying for Sakura, but Jo did see how far off the rails he'd allowed himself to go and felt like he had to do that in order to make things right. Credit to Jo though for his durability! He took that last hit from Sakura and then took a serious shot from Choji and he still walked it off! I thought he'd have to be carried out of there, but he just picked himself up and took a seat .
Choji did start off with a pretty excellent flurry. It was to the point where I was wondering if Umemiya could actually handle this. But he got one good hit in and yeah I think he'll be fine. The danger level with Umemiya is probably related to how pissed off he is. And seeing how far Choji has fallen should get him fired up plenty. Even after watching a great fight and kicking his own friend in the head...Choji didn't feel anything. This idiot needs a good beating in order to wake up.

Yep. Both fights were fantastic, though I think the idea of both opponents grinning while slugging each other is ridiculous. I think Toga should have been carried out as well; the fact he got up even after taking Choji's hit means he still had gas in the tank. I'd like to believe Sakura was just an instant away from truly winning, but it looks like if they both went all out, Sakura would have lost. Boi gotta put in some more work if he wants to be the top of the top.

I know we're communicating with fists and all that. But I think rather than this Choji needs medical assistance...Once a guy starts ripping his hair out and screaming like a maniac we've gone past the need for combat to settle this! At least if it was DBZ could say he was powering up, but instead I'm pretty sure he was just having a mental breakdown.
But hey. It would kind of not fit the show to have them settle things that way. So this worked out fine. Honestly the end was pretty weird in spots, but hey...it all worked out fine. So that's good . Umemiya's win probably looked the worst out of any of the main cast. He was basically just tanking hits the whole time and not landing many. I get he had intentions, but I'm still not actually sure how strong he is beyond pure durability.

Judging from the recent episode, it seems Umemiya would not mind it if Sakura eventually became his successor. Even Umemiya saying Sakura could eventually be the top dog at Bofurin pissed off Sugishita like hell as he considers it heresy for anybody else to be at the top.
