That might be good for troll subbing, but I'd do it something like this:

x264 --partitions p8x8,p4x4 --bitrate 1000 --no-cabac --deadzone-intra 32 --deadzone-inter 32 --keyint 60 --vbv-maxrate 1000 --vbv-bufsize 500 --ipratio 1.5 --aq-strength 3 --me umh --subme 2 --nr 10000 --threads 5 --no-fast-pskip --cqm "prestige.cfg" --interlaced

With hardsubs, of course. Then I'd mux it into an OGM with MP2 audio and rename it .MKV.

I’m not really sure if you need this to run VDubMod or not, but get it anyways.

You don't.

Virtual Dub Mod. Here This file will be used for lossless encoding and XVid encoding.

Please don't encourage use of that outdated buggy program. VirtualDubMod just results in idiots trying to make MKV files using Video for Windows encoders.

3. Avisynth. Here You need this to run losslesses.

It would be better if you gave an correct explanation of what Avisynth is...

6. MKVMerge. Here This is used to softsub the videos.

Now you have every program you need to successfully encode! However, now you have to install thousands upon thousands of codecs.

If you're installing more than a couple, you're doing it wrong.

Lagarinth Lossless Codec: Lagarinth This is the hardest to install. Extract the files. There’ll be a file you extracted called Lagarinth.inf . To install, right click on that and click on “Install”.

Its called "Lagarith" not "Lagarinth." Also, might I suggest just using FFVHUFF, built into FFdshow? It's much faster.

h.264: No need to DL, since it’s in Megui.

The encoder is called "x264" not "h.264."

XVid: XVid Download this and install.

On that note, MeGUI includes Xvid too. Why are you making people install it twice? Also, its called Xvid or XviD, not XVid.

Next comes the filters.
Please note, I have been told time and time again that these are awful filters for a filter chain. If you’re planning on joining a quality group, you will need to learn more filters than just these.

They're awful. Even just giving people dfttest would be better than this.

Make a new folder you can easily access (I’d suggest on the desktop). Put and .dll’s you extract in here.

Why not just autoload them from the Avisynth plugin folder?

That's stored in the x264 header in any file with the mentioned codec AFAIK, unless it's been removed for w/e reasons. Just open the file and search for "x264" and it'll bring you there. If that's what you meant.
