Well, after Tsutomu talking for the last few chapters Birdy finally gets to fight. Granted, she doesn't actually change out of Tsutomu's body, but's it's still nice to see her take the lead in mind if not in body. Turns out the guy she's fighting is her old combat instructor, who appears to be testing her skills.

Spoiler for Chapter 41:

Tsutomu talks for most of it. AGAIN. he reflects on something Birdy said to a superior with the Federation mice. He goes to the hospital to see his girlfriend, but she's not there. Looks like she's being used as a test subject for genetic engineering. She's about to attack one of Revi's dolls disguised as a police officer. He hand turns into some kind of claw. Hopefully Birdy will get more action soon, looks like things are starting to ramp up.

So it turns out the girl from the last chapter was not Tsutomu's girlfriend, but a modified Undine. Her hand has been transformed into a claw, which she uses to attack several of Revi's doll androids disguised as policemen, and breaks into an office building While two scientists from the chemical company watch through a camera. At the end Birdy and Tsutomu are talking about his girlfriend.

I need to learn Japanese.

The only thing keeping Franky-House from picking up the Birdy the Mighty manga is a translator. But it looks like they're interested in the project none the less. All that's missing is a translator.

Was negotiating with a translator, but he got more important things to do. So, sorry to disappoint you, but unless you give us a translator, we won't be able to do anything. We can clean, we can typeset, we can QC, but we can't translate.

Good news everybody.

I don't know if anyone follows this thread, but I'm sure there still are some die hard Birdy fans who would like to hear that the translations are pretty much continuing. An user called "bobkansas85" made an comment on 2BIG blog where he say that he would pick the translation of the manga and the next chapter will hopefully be released next week. He's also probably going to make his own blog for the translation.

Are you even reading the manga? There's nothing between him and Birdy. They don't see each other that way.
