Okay for those wondering, it is 1 hour or at least longer than the standard length 23-26 minutes episode for the first episode for a combined length of about 45+ minutes (minus commercials)
My thoughts: Spoiler:

Next week's release will be earlier as it will resume back to the standard duration of an episode. |

So basically, Konosuba and Erased had a baby and named it Re:Zero. They even got Megumin to play the heroine
Decent first episode, though I hope the premise expands beyond the Groundhog Day setup. Otherwise it'll get repetitive seeing MC get owned at the same spot.

strongest 01 so far imo, even if its two parts so its kind of cheating.
Seems very generic at first, but the production seems high to me. Very lively moving backgrounds with people that make the town seem alive. Very swift scene transitions and feeling like progress and footwork was done.

ep 1
That was great!
As was some who's read the source, I've got no complaints other than it this being rare times I find it a shame that I know what's gonna happen. Even then premier still managed to engrossed me. I find the pacing and animation to be quite good, and shows that staff clearly understands the original work. Gore been tone down, but at totally acceptable, you can pretty tell what's going without the need for dark spots or beams covering everything. That said this we are roughly halfway though the first arc. VA choices are all good so far, I'm actually surprised how much I like Puck's voice particular. EDIT: One small nitpick with Crunchyroll's translation though, I prefer the manga's term "Witch of Envy" to the "Jealous Witch". Quote:

Dang....that was a strong start.
Will say...wow this capital has a lot of carriages . What a first episode (both parts). My condolences to Subaru. Can already get a good feel for the kind of hell this guy is in for. Although geeze why would that girl give herself that kind of fake name ? Tough for Subaru since he did believe it was actually her name. Oh well since he's bound to die again soon anyways....he'll have a better intro planned next time. I really do feel for this guy. Sure, having a massive reset is helpful but...this is horrible. After all he has to actually experience dying each time. This isn't something as cute as the ability in Erased. This is painful stuff. This is just harsh. He gets this awesome counter attack in....and actually still took the worse of the exchange. Of course there are options and possibilities which I do think is cool. They have a chance here. If Subaru can clear things up with (girl who in the show doesn't have a real name yet) and combine forces with Felt and Rom then they can probably take down Elsa. They just can't go at her 1 at a time. Both times through the problem was she could easily snipe them down. Either through ambush or not being taken seriously enough. Really good first episode. Pulled right in.
