I don't remember the full story, but he was forced to wrap things up quickly by Jump near the end. That's why the final battle is so bad and plenty of characters that were foreshadowed to play a huge role ended up doing nothing.

From what I've heard, Kubo decided to end it when himself because his physical condition could not take it anymore. This is supported by Kubo having surgery soon after and canceling all event appearances in the months following the ending.
Supposedly, Kubo had been dealing with issues in his hand and shoulder, as well as frequent bout of illnesses, since around the time of the Fake Karakura Town portion of the Arrancar arc. |

The most awaited part is surely the 2 bankai(s) we all wanted and never got: Urahara's Benihime and Kenpachi's... forgot it's name, it only appears in the manga, so I can be forgiven. ^^' But that's actually good, I'm gonna try my best to forget them so I can be surprised by the anime. But I remember Benihime looking a bit like manga Unohana... damn. -_-' Why did I read the manga last year!? *hits his head* If I had waited a decade like I did Claymore, I would have gotten the reward Claymore never did: the anime! :< Have Jump people been shot already? *puts hand on phone to call his assassin*

Sereitei (Soul Society) arc I call it, just so we know we're talking about the same thing. I don't care about "exactities" in terms of definitions or names, the ideas are the only thing I care about. Ofc it's one of your favorite arcs, it's one of the best of all time in anime. Even though I consider The Espada one slightly better, it can be said by then you already expected to be wowed, while in Soul Society arc you fully enjoy your 1st contact with awesomeness, and you're like "What's that? What just happened? What did he just do!? That's so f.king bad-ass!"
About the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc (1) and the next one Can't Fear Your Own World Arc (2) which is available only in novels for now. I think the anime will be better than the manga this time because from what I understand and my reading of the manga arc agrees with this: (1) it was rushed by the publishers and Tite didn't get the chance to fully enjoy creating the battle scenes the way he had them in his head; and (2) it's available in games I've played, but I tried not to read anything from the story, at least to leave that much for the anime. That Tokinada is a cool costumer, looks like a cross bread between Aizen and Gin and has the power to back it up. Can't imagine him being stronger than Ywatch (the God of Quincy more or less) but it certainly will be interesting to see how people are going to deal with him some... maybe 2-3 years from now.

Kubo Tite said on his site "Klub Outside", where he basically answers questions, that the anime will be uncensored (in response to a question about censored outfits) and in his words, it will air at midnight. So that's a good thing ^_^
Besides that, I doubt that the arc will be rushed, Kubo has implied otherwise, as shown by when.he got asked about something that's unclear in the manga (the question being: "Who attacked Rukia in the first invasion of the Thousand Year Blood War?") he answered it'll be revealed in the anime. It would really suck for the arc to be rushed given that many including myself waited for the anime return for over 10 years, at that point why bother -_- I don't like this arc that much but it had great moments (particularly when we got stuff like the backstory of Ichigo's parents) I wish the anime will fix things but I'm not exactly banking on it. I just wish for Bleach to be done justice again, I miss the Soul Society/Rukia rescue arc days, still my favorite arc in all of anime, so much nostalgia. Oh well, the experience of getting to wait for weekly Bleach content again will be nostalgic enough |

It's good to know we'll see Yoruichi in her full glory.
What's Kubo even up to these days? He started Burn the Witch and opened the road to a Bleach sequel and then did nothing with either of them. Maybe because he's busy with the anime, which would be a good thing since it'd mean he's trying to fix the latter half of this arc.

He was talking about it just after it ended the first time, he even mentioned how Jump put the 'Coming Soon' part without his knowledge to convince him to work faster.
There was an announcement that we'd get news about Season 2 this year on Klub Outside (Kubo's website) on New Years.

I'd personally like him to continue the Bleach Hell arc instead since I'm obviously a lot more attached to Bleach's characters, but either is fine.

I frankly have no interest in Burn The Witch, I have no nostalgia for it and I'm nostalgic for Bleach and it's characters as I've been a fan of it for over 15 years, so I care about Bleach because there's so much nostalgia there. The only reason I'd consider checking out Burn The Witch is because KT is the author (which isn't inherently good) or because it's universe is tied to that of Bleach's.
As for a continuation to the Hell arc, I'm not as interested in it currently compared to the TYBW adaptation, with the latter I know what to expect, so seeing my favorite moments of the arc adapted is what I can comfortably look forward to. The Hell arc doesn't have this luxury. It can either have great things in it, or it'll simply add up to the pile of one of Kubo's many poorly executed ideas. But that is if there will be a Hell arc continuation to begin with, which I doubt. Last edited by NS Media; 2022-05-30 at 12:32. |
