Additional casts
Maria: Sawashiro Miyuki Stella: Chiwa Saito Additional staff Music: Yokoyama Masaru (Queen's Blade, Kimikiss) I hope this series will be okay unlike all Shaft series this season. Shinbo interviewed in Maria Holic scoop back then that "Maria Holic was done without any difficulties all thanks to Miyamoto Yukihiro being an assistant director". I'm keeping my fingers crossed he's chosen as an assistant director for this series for that reason. Broadcast timeslot seems to be that of Hanamaru Youchien's. |

This anime was already a must watch for me as soon as I heard about it, the amazing voice cast makes even more excited. Maria is the loli I guess? And that's one badass sister, no wonder Takehito Koyasu is voicing her..him
This is the only Shaft series confirmed for Spring so far, right? I think it'll be okay if they only do one. |

They discovered mature Chiwa and they cant let her go... (not that I'm displeased at all) (nope I've read it wrong ^^; )
Amazing cast so far (only second to durarara!! this year) but I usually tend to like Shaft choice (for shows that matter of course). Last edited by Woland; 2010-02-19 at 08:57. |

Seeing these VAs kinda make me go T___T, and not because they're bad, but because of their previous roles having influence over my judgments of their current roles.
When I read AUB half a year ago (probably more than that but don't remember anymore), the impression is pretty much summed up nicely by "wtf". The characters and the setting are already completely abnormal, but having famous VAs make me feel like they're just stereotyping them into previous character types; this create some kind weird, unwanted cognitive resonance that seem to threaten the uniqueness of the characters. Obviously the chosen VAs probably are very good at demonstrating wide range of vocal talents and portraying different personalities, but I rather wish they were some fresh people (or at least VAs I don't give a crap about). Really though, this is just a minor annoyance and a random thought early in the morning, which I probably won't care when it airs. Right now, the only thing I'm interested in is how long this would be. |
