She was wrong on that actually. The article the news came from was entirely different from what she mentioned so either Funimation's CEO outright lied/got confused or this is legit. I'm somewhat more inclined to believe the latter

No, it was different, like most of the season. That "almost" - what really counts. Without all these small details - there is just no point.

Characters who should have died — died. Kaneki also ended the same way. That's all that matter. They could make a sequel just fine. Also I'm one of the minority who were fine with anime.

Though that largely depends upon how far they go into :Re. Hide's fate isn't immediately relevant after all.

On the other hand, Kaneki's fate is relatively different too. And without knowing how his Root A fight with Arima truly played out, it's hard to say how that would tie into :Re.

Hoping they'll have a bigger budget this time. I don't remember a single well animated moment in Root A. The first season at least had the Jason fight.

As for the story, I've already lost all hope after what they did with the second season, so I'm really just hoping for some nice eyecandy.

Madhouse dickriding still happening? Dude the studio is a shell of its former self. Most of the staff left the studio for MAPPA, Studio Nuts, Voln or just became freelancers. Majority of the people responsible for shows like HxH 2011, Parasyte or Death Parade aren't there anymore.
