My brain exploded when Horo said something about mating. That just made the entire episode for me.
Wait, does discussing events that have happened in the most current episode count as spoilers? Last edited by Yuutsu; 2009-07-24 at 00:16. Reason: Question |

arghhh! I wish I'd waited to watch this episode! I'm going out of town and won't be home for 2 weeks... I can't wait that long for the next episode. I hope to god that my hotel has internet. I wonder how long it'd take to download at starbucks? lol
Not many shows can make me so tense that I begin to feel sick. I love this show. |

Oh the drama, one of the best episodes of both seasons. Horo totally losing it was welll delivered and that entire scene was just unexpected (although I figured something like this would happen eventually, just not so soon). I'm already in distress waiting for the next episode.

God this episode really was something. A really emotional episode that just turned everything up to another level. You just knew something had to give with there being a lack of danger. Sure Amati could make his stance but at the start of the episode there was no doubt where Horo would go. Now this information has hit at the worst possible time. The anime just made it so clear how unstable Horo is right now. It's no surprise after finding out that her hometown was destroyed.
Talk about the difference an episode can make. Lawrence wasn't feeling that confident after the disaster in the last arc as shown by trading in safe nails. But now he has to pull himself together and fast or else he could lose Horo.

Wow that last scene could have made a very good angst anime.. Too bad this type of show doesn't get anymore violent than economic issues. == Man this really would have made a good story if it is filled with violence, fantasy, fun. (And rated R)
*Lawrence does know about the "legend." Guess it was a hypothesis which he didn't took seriously until this point. That worked against him too. == Oh Horo I want to hug you so. |

Yes. In the first season when she first mentioned it, he had a flashback to his mother telling him a bedtime story about it being destroyed. I think it's pretty clear she's being stupid the whole time, but because of partial insanity/grief. She's not herself. And about the preview: (someone pointed this out to me because I was too shell shocked to really notice) the color palette for that preview matches that used during Horo's "imagination" scenes earlier in the episode and nothing else. If you look at previous episode previews they look normal. Hence, that preview is in Horo's (or Lawrence's) imagination. |

Wow, I didn't see this coming at all since it was such a huge bombshell so early in the series. Probably wasn't smart of me to watch this right before I'm going to sleep, I'll be thinking about it all night. For the love of god, don't let that kiss in the preview happen.

this episode made me go and search for the novel's translation. Because the novels are licensed for the usa, the English translations are gone, but i got lucky and found Spanish translations. I just couldn't wait to find out how all this ended.

The first time we see Horo being overwhelmed by her fears for being alone. I like her facial expressions when she goes mad too. |
