I wonder if Marina Inoue could actually play Yozora in a live action film adaptation of Haganai. Actors play characters outside of their ages all the time, and it would be nice to still have the same voice for her in this version as in the anime version.

lol no. Her face isn't that kind of attractive (the super Ojou-sama kind, ya know). I'd consider Fuko, though she's in the same category as Tanaka.
Nobody can totally match Niku's radiance, so we'll have to make do with the naturally big-busted actresses RL throws at us. |

Wow, live action film eh? This seems like one of those that'd work but I haven't been impressed with live action anime films so far
I am curious who they'll cast for the characters though, they always seem to get the pretty pretty girls actors wrong, or at least in my opinion.

Yukimura looks tall, Kodaka has totally bleached blond hair, and my dearest Meat is an average-bust brunette. I wonder if the producers even hired child actors to act the parts of Kobato and Maria... but I'm kind of afraid of hearing the answer. Last edited by JamJackEvo; 2013-05-18 at 10:17. Still, I'll reserve my judgement until I see some official promotional pics and the movie itself.

WTF!.. 5 minutes ago I posted my wish to see Shin Sekai yori turned into an indie movie... only to learn about this and remember how atrocious popular movies are here... it's like the Japanese have this secret contest with the Americans about who can profit the most with the most trashy film
Where to start... it's too early to point out what is wrong with this film, but let me try: 1) The casting is a total failure 2) The filming location is simply laughable 3) The author distanced himself, during pre-production 4) The two actors I read about simply put are not actors, but celebrities And for context, I also think Rurouni Kenshin was very bad, put also very politely... and it's kind of sad because Japan (like USA) has so many talented directors, actors, etc. that are unknown domestically or if they are it's because of their filmwork (Kitano Takeshi for example).

Even though it has nothing to do with the movie but Hirasaka is indeed a "he". I found an interview with him some time ago.
http://blog.livedoor.jp/geek/archives/51028418.html He is wearing a horse mask on those photos. |
