But at the very least the trailer says "He, the dragon born", so a female player character is at least ruled out? Or was that a slip?

I hope the opening goes like this Your Traveling to Skyrim after some kind of news, along the travel you get ambushed and suffer memory loss after waking up by your rescuers. thats how your naming/class etc etc comes up. kinda like New Vegas.

The original hero was a man. But all bets are off when the spirit is reborn. Nerevarine was such a reincarnated hero, for example. It seems all the "Canon" heroes in Elderscrolls end up all being men. But that will never stop me from choosing female avatars of course. Quote:
Dragons definitely existed in the Elderscrolls universe, or we wouldn't have the main quest of Oblivion. They are probably going to go for the angle of evil dragons vs the NEW humanoid representation of the good dragons. (As the original Dragon-blood royal family had all died.)

No, the dragons are still on the good side.
They (=enemy) is returning and only the dragonborn can stop them. Dragonborn is one of the nicknames of Talos and his descendants. Talos was of nordic descent, but worked as a general for the king of Cydoriil (Oblivion's country). When meeting the army of Skyrim, he showed he was able to use Th'um (the power of the voice), so Skyrim acknowleged him as a "son of skyrim and heir to the empire of men" He later went on to control the whole continent Tamriel. He took Tiber Septim as his emperor name and was known as Ysmir, the Dragon of the North in Skyrim. Since there are no Septim left officially (Martin was the last one), I suppose the player will either need to find one (a role similar to the player role in Oblivion) or be the Dragonborn himself. (a role similar to Morrowind's Nerevarine) Last edited by Rahan; 2010-12-12 at 22:23. |

Would be nice if I finished Tribunal and Bloodmoon's main quest LOL.. I never did that. And I've been Nerevarine about twice? First with the original unmodded game, and another one because I wanted to play The Underground 2 mod
Still married to Laura Craft (well, engaged ) and married to Laurenna while dragging Constance everywhere (she annoys the feck of me, but I dont think I can drop here off anywhere).. Living in Balmora despite being Telvanni hotshot and my total MW folder is well beyond 100G And I still havent met Jauffre to give him the Amulet of King (I blamed it on TIE mod) and you telling me there gonna be ESV? >.> <.< I'll prolly checking it after the mod starts trickling in.. I didnt play OB before OOO's out either, so I prolly do the same again And I sill gonna play a Breton!

Huh?
The Romance Mod for MW is one of the better mods out there .. Laura Craft is goddamn good quest with romance mod, and then the White Wolf of Lokken (where my Laurenna came from) also involves a beautiful romance substory (for both gender, female gets to woo Laurenna's older brother). You missing a whole lot if you think all romance mod are all simply sex mod.

The only good thing about Hlaalu is Uncle Crassius. Period. He even try to score with my wife Laura! In front of me! *shake fists* Thats when I decided I will be Telvanni forever You got a problem? Throws a fireball. SOLVED.
Oh well, I look forward to more revelation for this game. The only good thing the unmod OB have for me is the c button I really hate that about Morrowind, not that I ever feel the need to carry any weapons, mind you .. but being able to cast fireballs without unsheathing my wooden sword is cool My wish list 1) GCD style character's progression. 2) TIE leveling.

Ah sorry then, yes sadly, there arent any good romance mod for OB *shake fist to xlover mod*
bu if you looking for a good companion, Vilja is always a good option Perhaps one day she will develop her romantic feeling for you (in future future future version) but for now, you'll just have to babysit her Enough offtopic, unless peoples dont mind me babbling off about MW again

As OP I'd say discussion about any Bethesda game (Elder Scrolls Series) is open, stuff you'd like to see in Skyrim etc.
