I'm not sure about the most despised, but I still hate Kaifun more than anyone in Macross series. How bout Messer's pineapple hairstyle?

Well, I guess that's it for the Keith/Messer/Kaname/Arad thing... I guess poor Messer had to die so that Hayate can officially become the ace and have a justified grudge against Keith so they could start having their own rivalry.
That said, I don't think Keith was particularly villainous in this battle. He respected Messer's abilities, they had a fair fight and Keith just happened to win. Back at home with poor little Heinz, though... I'm sure Keith has his own agenda, but as much as I'd like Roid to be a loyal guardian, I keep wondering whether he doesn't have his own agenda, too. Someone help Heinz! Yeah, that was kind of iffy (although at least his name appears to be Berger Stone, not particularly Middle-Eastern-ish). Especially since after everything that happened in this episode, Space Dubai totally has to have something significant to do with the plot. |

Question for the gun experts here, since I'm a complete amateur on guns....
Normally when you take a frontal headshot like that (it was a headshot right?) normally the blood splatter would come from the back right? So why did so much of it splatter forward? Is it because it's a laser? |

Wait, doesn't Bogue still hold a rivalry with Hayate still? I wonder which one will get settled first; assuming that Hayate will go after Keith in the future.
Man, I feel bad for Kaname now. She just really can't catch a break in this series.

I would feel more sympathetic to the death of a Wind red shirt had this conflict been more of a gray variety. So far, its not looking that way. The Wind has been losing a lot of sympathy points episode after episode. Now they have gone ahead and killed a character whom we just started to know & like. I can only imagine the uproar among the Pixiv community. That being said, maybe chicken-hair's alleged death would allow Hayate to grow out of his silly non-killing policy. Or maybe his plot armor saved him? We shall see. Quote:

I have mixed feelings about Messer's death. I mean it does serve a purpose in the plot, but it's basically the same thing they did in Frontier, and if we go further back in SDF too, so it feels like they're just checking a box in the Macross template. I don't appreciate that. I would have preferred a more original direction.
On a different note, the scene when Mikumo and Freyja see this weird vision together and fall unconscious reminds me a lot of a very similar scene in AKB0048. At this point is rather obvious Kawamori is outright taking material from that show to use in Delta. Not that I mind. I love AKB0048.

Dammit Kawamori! The moment he gave Kaname his bracelet he signed his death sentence.

My question now is what will Delta do without Messer? we saw how they did against the knights without him, and even if Hayate gets better I do not see him taking on Keith, maybe if they play Mirage‘s jenius card and do it together but I‘m not sure.

I wonder how the walkure and delta squadron are going to get out of this one.... Their best pilot has been downed... Two of the walkure (their strongest members one of whom can sync up with a certain pilot) are injured and a little out of it. They're out numbered and not to mention the Wind guys are all good pilots plus their white knight is still mobile....the situation does not look bright.

Of course if he was hit by a beam weapon, then there wouldn't be blood, because they would have been burnt away and evaporated. - Tak
