It means the author is stepping away from the series for a while, and she's done with it for now. She spent the last 10 years and 8 months cranking out books, so she's due for a break.
Spoiler for and... dunno if this needs a spoiler, but...:
She didn't rule out more stories in that setting, but I wouldn't be holding my breath for anything anytime soon. I imagine she's probably somewhere tropical right now, with one of those drinks filled with fruit and some booze... I know I would be after cranking out 35 books in 10 years. Then again, if she never writes another volume again, she can walk away and not feel any guilt. She wrapped up pretty much everything she needed to. EDIT: Just finished reading Big Door, Small Key/大きな扉、小さな鍵. That's going to be interesting to see Touko's side animated this week. Spoiler for Big Door, Small Key/大きな扉、小さな鍵:

Konno doesn't seem to be ready to take a vacation just yet.
For the time being, she seems to be continuing the Marimite spinoff Buddha Watches Too. Or at least is giving it a second volume. This is something I just found out today, myself. I was kind of surprised. Also, Spoiler for Ookina Tobira...:

Also if you check Erica's Okazu blog, you'll find a lot of translations of the novels in the OVA season. She's just starting to post a translation of Soeur Audition. Before she did full translations, she would do comparisons of the anime with the novels... sort of like a Cliff's notes version of the novels. If you go to her blog and just search through the MSGM tag, you'll find a lot of stuff there. She also reviews a lot of stuff, too. It's a fun read.

Yeah, but the thing with B-S is that it updates irregularly. If you're desperate NOW and want to read translations NOW (like I know some of you are... you instant gratification people...), then go ahead and raid her blog and rummage through the archives when you run out of stuff to read on B-S. I'm not really big into the whole yuri thing, but I find her reviews entertaining. (And she persuaded me to watch Simoun, which was a good series.)
Or you can just do like some of us and learn Japanese and slog through the books the Hard Way. |

hmm i see. When i saw the anime i felt they had very strong relationship. i can say that they very depend on each other (esp sachi to yumi). so that's why iam conclusing yumi n sach-chan more than a lover(deeper)
But they never said they were a couple that's why i'm askin' such a question.hahahahaha... Hmm so sachi and sugure in the end? |

That's good news to us fans. I guess Oyuki Konno can't help herself to going back to the old stomping grounds.
Great to have an idea on how the three new Roses will do. Pity, Google Translate is all wonky. |
