Episode 1

This show is a bit strange especially in regards to presentings its main characters. Despite the episode being standard length, it felt like a lot happened with Montmorency. There's also tragic scenes of war that shows its aftermath too. Poor Richemont.

Pretty much an introductory episode that sets up for rest of the season. There's also some historical references, something that I'm sure will be recurring in some upcoming episodes. Also, the themes of alchemy will likely be revisited often in the show.

While there are "better" anime this season this one has me most interested in. When it ended i was like "well that's interesting.

Jeanne looked bloodthirstly at the end song and kinda reminded me of esdeath from AGK lol.

I hate light novels and anime that portrays all or most of male characters other than the MC as badguys or waifu-stealing NTR jerks. MC needs one close male friend like in DarliFra ( Goro ), and Magi's Grandson ( August ).

I now know what will happen to Henry V And fuck you Henry V XD. but Richmonte do went some rough shit judging by the part where she's crying hugging Montmorency but still need to know if she lose V card I guess she did cause Henry in real story had many wife and child i guess in this story he rape her :P.

Hopefully they dont do what Grancrest did damn that bother my mind for a week XD before i could forget about it

Richmonte on the other hand is a heroine and the primary love interest of Montmorency

mmmhh, dropped. I think the bad elements (or at least what I don't like) counteract the good ones. And for some reason maybe have something to do with the designs I don't know, but I feel similar vibes/wavelength than Cross Ange? (even if I know this have nothing of that) and is bad for me.

Finally got to see the episode. Hmm, my expectations weren't high but even so I can't say I'm too impressed with the plot or characters so far. Best part of the ep was the next ep preview, or rather the commentary. Well, I guess it's safe to say that this series doesn't take itself too seriously but so far there's not much payoff for it.

Regarding the NTR flags... this is what I read elsewhere but I've no idea how reliable it is:

Lukes YGO & WS on YT Naracchi & Saracchi Join Date: Dec 2017 Location: Australia Age: 40	Spoiler for Episode 1 Comments/Feedback: Nice moves by Richemont there, she was able to defeat the English soldier and help take care of the others, very skilled with the sword. Knee to the groin, that always works. Richemont showing some great swordplay again but she is only a child and can only take on so many, looks like she was only captured though and not killed. Monmorency was right after all, his rock was something very important, I liked the reaction of Astaroth when he instantly submitted to her. Oh wow those 7 years went by very quickly, how did he not notice, now to see what he does from here on out. One of the anime's I was looking forward to the most after seeing the latest PV which is basically the next episode, seeing Jeanne and all that carnage is definitely something that I want to see.

Oh yeah, the war you are currently fighting will be called the 100-Year War? It took me only a couple of minutes to search about it, but it wasn't called the 100-Year War until much later. In the first place, if a war has been going on since you were born, how the heck do you know it will end at the 100 year mark? Are we going to have a question on the exam based off your expectations of the future? Second... Yeah, 4 to 5 soldiers couldn't defeat a few kids. Sure. Now, my biggest question is... Where was the need to base this in the real world? We have fairies and other fantasy elements, so this could have easily been placed in a different world and have the events modeled after the real world instead. Is it just because you wanted to use the name "Jeanne"...? Anyways, I don't even have to search to know this is a Light Novel. Why? Because of that very telling line in the middle of the episode, where the protagonist becomes strangely blabbermouthing about how pretty or whatever the heroine is. Those lines come straight out of Light Novels. And what's a shame is that no other line smelled so bad until that one moment. It makes everything so cheap, and yet it is so unnecessary. Anyways, now that 7 years has passed and everything would be realistically too late, I guess maybe there will be some NTR and other fun stuff... maybe? The first episode definitely didn't warrant expecting anything more.
