Wow, this show is sure flying under the radar. I watched the five available CR episodes tonight and laughed out loud each time. Once the maid absconded with the money I knew we were heading down the rabbit hole.
I also like Mono's rather sexualized interactions with the succession of ever more powerful batteries. Did she somehow bond with Ru-chan and reactivate her before destroying the aliens? Those kids looked like they were having the times of their lives when she chased them for Halloween. The TV executives naturally didn't understand. So far, I've liked the Nendoroid episode the best. Not having an OP is good, too. We move right to the story and get to decide whether to watch our heroine's performance at the end of the episode.

I noticed the mistress of the ever-17 cult, Inoue Kikuko, sings "Endless Seventeen" as the closing number in episode five! Inoue turned seventeen for the 32nd time in September.
Horie is another charter member.

After letting it go to the 9th ep. before watching it in succession (their only 5 min each), I find the series really hilarious. It sure pokes fun on Hatsune Miku and those Idol series. It's pure nonsensical fun.

I'm watching this series, and it's so hilarious I watched every one of the episodes at least 2 times. But I reckon I'm biased cause I'm a Horie Yui fan.
It's hilarious how tragic the story can get sometimes. And the humour is totally random. It's also funny that, in Horie's shows, Monochrome is actually a villain. She wants to make everything black and white, and transform everyone into robots. But here she's just neutral, lol. |
