Definitely different in its presentation and approach so far, but it looks like a fun anime. It feels like it is trying too hard, but we'll have to see how it progresses. Hopefully, it will be a fun series overall.

I don't mind a show that just wants to have some fun .
Eruna is pretty darn nuts and over the top, but is actually pretty likable while she's doing it. Kind of fun to see both her and her cousin getting shut down with their over the top approaches. That girl has no issue going all yuri. This just seems like it will be a pretty fun and crazy show, not a bad thing.

We've got clubs fighting each other using supernatural abilities in spectacular battles....yeah I think a floating cat doesn't really stand out in that situation . Yeah the cat appears to be part of the staff and everyone there certainly can see him.

First half of the episode was great!! I loved every single moment of it. The silliness, daydreaming, the (genuine) yuri, and Myaamori's VA voicing it all made it even better :') Too bad the rest of the episode felt like it was going to fast and didn't trap me as much as Part A but it was still enjoyable.
Looking forward next week! (something I can't say for most of the stuff I've watched from this season, so that's a thing.) |

There were very vague hints at why that might be so in the cat's conversation with the principal's daughter if I remember correctly - something like she is one the ones who will change the stagnation in the place or some such?

Hmm... so they're cousins on a first name basis? Yeah, definitely childhood friends!
I dunno if it's because of spillover from Michiru last cour, but Eruna and Shigure so far is my second most squee worthy couple of this season. Which is saying something, as all Eruna does is rebuke Shigure and chase skirts, but Shigure willing to do almost anything to get her attention was so darn HNNNGGG worthy. XD

This show is very interesting in regards to how they taken a lot of common narrative strands and mix things up, making them play out very differently.
Eruna is your typical idiot hero protagonist who's picking up a harem... but she's also a girl who likes other girls and dreams of romantic two girl friendship like stuff, which would normally lead to a soppy fluffy like show.... but instead we get a club vs club supernatural battle set up! She also has a magical cat (magical girl thread? >.< ) and is super mega nerd who has delusions based on the dating sims she plays. |

Episode 1:
Gotta say that this show has an interesting premise, so I'm hoping that it'll be better than Mekaku City Actors. On the other hand, will Dogakobo's latest anime series will have songs from Last Note. 'cause he based his series on his previous music? |

Best male main character this season.
I don't get what this club battle thing is, skill based competition between clubs or just hitting each other physically. Either way, second epoisode will decide if the show is worth following. |

'Oh hey there is a club tournament next week - you attend it because I plan to be indisposable.'
She totally didn't just invite her to not have to bother with the tornament, nono totally not. I'd really like to see what kind of accomadation comes from the going home club now.

Kimura Juri (Miyamoto in Shirobako, Eruna here) has just proved she really is a good seiyuu with a future. Sure, I can recognize the voice, but she shows she can do an over-top-voice as well as the more normal one she used as Miyamoto. Lots of extravgant verbal invention.
In my case, since I like yuri shows to begin with, Eruna's silliness took a while to get used to. But that "while" was short, lol. Loved the character, and enjoyed the whole show. I like all the blithe acceptance of abnormality, such as how the student body so easily accepts a flying cat as their teacher.
