Is the world in danger or not? I can't tell
It looks like the threat is mostly contained (at least before the plot happens and they have to contend with intelligent monster infiltrators). But they still don't understand monsters very well, or have a permanent solution for them.

Why is that a problem?

^Comparing with Shingeki no Kyojin, at this point we've known why the army use the strategy they are using (why 3D gear is used), how dangerous the titans are, the general situation of the "known world", and so on

In Kaiju latest chapter, 2 months passed, and nothing noteworthy happened (this is after intelligent monster appeared)
So, it's not dangerous at all?

And most importantly, if the thing that kills kaiju is high caliber special bullet, why not have them loaded to combat vehicles as well? Still waiting for explanation

It's dangerous because it's able to stay unnoticed for long periods of time and is able to formulate long term plans.

Like I said, combat vehicles aren't as easy to deploy as infantry. Besides, some kind of superhuman ability is apparently central to fighting monsters.

(And for a meta reason, it's not a mecha-series.)

^Erm, I mean issuing some of those bullets to all police/military stations yo

Special Team is nice, but it's okay for other law enforcements to have the capability of killing monster too, right?

Maybe the bullets are too expensive to be given away willy nilly? Maybe they heard the cries of "defund the police" from the other side of the Pacific?

^Lmao! BLM! If only Americans care not only about themselves, like events in South Africa.

Buy yea, maybe the bullets are limited. Need to show that to readers tho.

I think Kaiju tries the same way as UU, get quickly to the juicy parts of the story before everyone is bored off. Nobody wanna read 20+ training chapters right after the first Kaiju battle.

As for the threat of the Kaijus, remember our own MC is the 8th Kaiju so far counted, meaning this whole thing is still basically in the beginning despite having started in the childhood of MC and CCC (cool commander chick), so those Kaijus ain't a weekly thing and more of a couple years/month at best thing. After all if such huge monsters showed up every week at some point humankind would lose because they cannot replace the fallen soldiers quickly enough/cannot develop new tech quickly enough to beat the new monsters with.

^Wat? He's literally the 8th one? In Japan? Or world?
But the childhood promise was like from 20 years ago?
Why are people treating chick like a hero then?
Beirut explosion was last month and nobody remembers that anymore

Probably because the numbers are there for special kinds of Kaijus and you get regular ones more often but they are less devastating. We have yet to get a real "lore chapter" about Kaijus, their first appearance, what kind of Kaijus appeared so far, how weapons and suits get make that you need to have some sort of affinity to it as a human to make use of it, etc. We will probably hear all about that later on.

Well that fight got a bit tense . Thankfully our protagonist avoided getting killed and was able to fall back. If nothing else this was a good lesson on the kind of guy that could come after him if he's careless. This whole situation got pretty messy, but at least the damage was kept to a minimum.

Well dang, Monster #9 (who obviously is way older than Monster #8 just never discovered till now) will be there for quite a while with this ability of his. No way the defense force can deal with a guy who can just spoilerspoilerspoilerspoiler. xD

Very cute behavior from tsundere Ojou-sama. Love how Kafka has to be told common sense because he has none.^^

Also seems Kaiju #8 vol.1 keeps selling like crazy, gonna be a real huge hit.

Told ya it sells like crazy. If it keeps that up it will be a 2nd SxF or even bigger than that albeit I don't think it will reach quite the same heights because lately I heard a lot of people complaining about it becoming too "generic". But whatever, as long as I have fun reading it.^^

Dang girl, Kikoru just SMASHES things. XD
With her huge axe she reminded me of Konami from WT there, cutting up monsters/Trion soldiers others think got too tough skin, lol.

That's a very convenient tiger she's got, helping her deal with recoil. Cats aren't usually this cooperative.

We got confirmation a chapter ago: the guns also make use of the users' special powers.

So that's what the tiger is for. I thought he was like a weird mount or something.
Wonder what set-backs you gotta take for going past the limit and overheat. Like only a couple days off or more serious that that?
