Fighting game crossing with fighting game has been a norm. What I am asking for is some really wild and eccentric idea thought of by a dev on weed or drugs.

Neptune is a good example, as well as American McGee's Alice. So is this one.

Between this crossover and the new Professor Layton 3DS we are really pleased .

I'm not surprised for Capcom since the director said that he would like to make a lot of crossover with other industry .

I don't really know this Layton guy, but seeing Nick animated almost moved me to tears!

Seriously though, "The trial of the witch"? It's almost impossible not to think about umineko.

Of course I don't meant to say there's anything remotely similar in this game. But the connection between witches and trials could have originated from that. So Phoenix Wright inspired umineko and now umineko inspires Phoenix Wright? Interesting...

Or it could've been inspired by the Salem Witch Trials...

Or maybe something else... I wouldn't go as far as to speculate that it's based off of or inspired by anything when we know so little about the game. Also it's not like Umineko is the first story to include both witches and trials...

Either way though, I'm very excited for this title! Now I have a reason to buy a 3DS.

Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright have both been quite successful series' overseas so I wouldn't worry about it not receiving a localization.
