Partly it's Naruki's mistake though grabbing him from the back thus dragging him down with her

Loved this episode. A lot of character development and some nice NinaxLayfon moments.

Agreed. In this episode, I found everyone very likable. How Nina resolves her own problems. How Sharnid is shown to be actually caring. How Harley can actual be a good person to trust as well. How Felli is now trying her best for her teamates. Everything was just smooth and awesome. Of course, the action wasn't so bad either.

Loved this episode. A lot of character development and some nice NinaxLayfon moments.

Awesome this episode is the shitz even though I only understand half of what they’re saying lol,

- Adaman sword looked cool when Fon-fon was swinging it, good attack power too bad it has a crappy durability. Then again, Fon-fon’s using it against a freaking mature badass looking dragon-bug so its no wonder.
- Fon-fon is a badass holy shit that dragon-bug looks like it’s ready to take on and eat everything but Fon-fon still went solo and held his ground. Damn I think he could’ve butcher it if not for the durability Adaman sword. Can’t really blame it when Harley thought he’d be only facing against a baby version of a bug but it turns out it’s a semi-mature dragon-bug. Nevertheless Fon-fon went Advent Children Cloud and still put up a good fight.
- Felli smiles, again, because of Fon-fon’s manly talk something about ‘I’m gonna fight till the last spill of my blood as long its about saving lives’. Her character also grow because of Fon-fon especially when he refuses to pull back to Zuellni but hold his ground so she also decided to help with all her power.
- Fon-fon and Narki spar was good and Fon-fon teaches her how to be both a good soldier in combat and a woman, that is with him in being the top tenderly holding your boob.
- Nina was well badass and likeable, her character grew significantly when she acted like a captain and leader she was meant to be leading her men and women and finally victorious. She realizes that she won’t be at Fon-fon’s level anytime soon (or ever) and would be crushed if she face dragon-bug head, so she’s acting what she thinks is best that is being err… decoy or bait. Must’ve been what Fon-fon said back in the hospital and good Nina x Fon-fon moments in the end.
- Fon-fon is being a dumbass again as I predicted being a chick magnet without him realizing it acting goody and sweet talks blabla and unconsciously making Felli, Nina and Narki attracted to him even more. He’s fueling a fiery competition later.
- Engrish is back, Oh Noes! At least they’re small in this one.

Nevertheless this episode definitely centers on Nina’s and her character growth. I like her when she’s not acting like all emo and inferior and thinking the big picture. The only problem is I think she’s gonna be a tsundere hereinafter on to Fon-fon.

So for the relationship development…..

- a bit of Felli x Fon-fon.
- a bit of Narki x Fon-fon.
- a huge chunk of Nina x Fon-fon.

Being a Felli x Fon-fon fan I am, I wish couple of next ep to be centered around their development but seems like the next will be Leerin’s and 17 th platoon against other platoons. The red haired chick finally showed up, I wonder her team wants to hijack Fon-fon from the 17th.

I think Nina's not a tsundere just can't admit that she has romantic feelings to herself...when she realises it then i think she would be straight and clear with it(exept the high possibility that the author is willing to drag the romance longer with a real tsundere attitude...because Nina confessing is a far to great development in terms of romance)

I think Nina found nothing humilating in being Filth Monster bait, because she knew she has no use in actual fighting. So at least be some use in the monster hunting. Why was Felli tired? 1: using psichokinesis over long distance for a long time, 2: actively using her abilities to blast the rocks(again over a long distance).

It's the LayfonxNina show.

Poor Felli, all she wanted to do was to talk. It took a massive 3 minutes for Felli to kick him. Felli doesn't say it but you can almost tell what she's thinking about when she turns her head.

Sharnid ain't useless after all. The dude is a sly ninja. A side of him we haven't seen yet. He's only been a slacker up until now.

Mei doesn't self-destruct near Layfon. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

A nice talk between a recovering Nina and Layfon. Best scene of the episode.

Layfon can't 1 shot everything. THANK YOUUUUUUU. Can't pin this on Harley's weapon because the specs are probably higher than what he would have used if not the Adaman Dite.

The rest of the platoon comes to his aid and really, if they applied what they did in this situation to inter-platoon battles they would be a force to be reckoned with if not unbeatable. Maybe next episode.

The little rift between Nina and Layfon is all but gone in the end. Some teasing as a bonus.

Felli faints but it's understandable, since it's probably the first time she has maintained her power for extended periods of time and tapping into her power like she has never done before.

Anyone else think the final scene with them waving to each other was a bit wtf? They had different colored visors and everything!

I'm interested to see what kind of improvement to teamwork this will have during their inter-platoon matches, as they clearly gave it their all during this operation. Though asking for this level of cooperation as default might be asking too much this early.

He had said before that it's not like he can handle anything. However, I still believe it's due to Harley's weapon specs in this episode because the weapon was totally busted by the end showing that's it's not capable of keeping up or even harming the beast. If the weapon was in excellent shape even after all that beating, then I would say it might be due to Layfon. However, it was was really beat up so I would say that it's due to the weapon more than Layfon. There's a phrase that a good writer does not depend on the pen their use but that phrase actually is true only to an extent. Similar to how if a weak sword breaks during a battle, no matter how strong a sword user is, he can't do nothing without a sword.

At the beggining there will be little screen time with Leerin ^^ it seems that the queen will give order to the silver-haired guy and the green-haired guy to watch over her.... maybe Leein finaly decides to go to Zueli that's why queen gived her protection.... time will show but more leerin is good for me ^^ (hope she will soon reach Zueli to reunite with Layfon)

Maybe queens objective is to awaken something in Leerin, memories of that shinrora reysu..... dont know but I hope that Leerin will run away from Grendan and go to Layfon ^^

Spoiler for ”Adaman’s effectiveness”:

Even the Adaman sword couldn't even keep up with Fon-fon's insane kei's outburst. So much for looking cool testing it at the start of the ep. But it's not all that bad when the sword manages to cut some of the parts and put some amount of damage on the dragon-bug before it finally breaks from a final blow as Fon-fon said.

I think reason the swords seemed sucks lies with the following:

1) The swords durability was set and meant to penetrate the armor or skin of normal bugs. The bug Fon-fon’s facing is somewhat a high level bug with thick and solid density of armored-skin or shell; much higher than anticipated. This causes the sword to wear away quickly.

2) It also depends how Fon-fon properly utilizing his kei. The sword probably just couldn't sustain and channel the amount of Fon-fon's kei efficiently and effectively against that particular high level bug. Which caused it to overload and eventually breaks when used continuously.

Personally I think the sword was well made and will serve as an excellent weapon against lower level bugs. Its just unfortunate that the sword’s debut was against a juggernaut, which made it met it’s fate sooner.

Hey just caught something strange. In ep 6 if you notice Fon-fon and Narki’s height are about the same. But in ep 7 Fon-fon’s like……. One half inches taller then her. Wtf glitch?

But damn was that scene between Layfon and Naruki smoking hot, and with her being so understanding to laugh it off as an accident (like what normal people do). But that probably wouldn't have happened if she fell for him just that bit more. Trust Layfon to be the strong type who sweeps women off their feet

Personally I thought that weapon upgrade sucked for Layfon...it needs to be made more durable before being able to be used in actual combat.

This time it was a fricking armoured dragon bug he had to fight against, kowaiiii~

I'd say it was a good experience for the weaker parts of the group, namely for Nina who seems to have finally gotten over her complex and might start to appear with the group more often. She is strong but pushing herself to the point of collapse is bad. Though she should have learnt her lesson now.

And for a tomboy-like character to blush, she was very cute ^^'

Well, we can't have it both ways, either the weapon sucks and he has a hard time, or the weapon owns and the action is 10 seconds long. Again, he would have used something worse if not the adaman dite. He used what was available to him, it wasn't a great upgrade, but it's still better than the specced up training dite he would have used otherwise. The Adaman dite did it's job, so it wasn't entirely useless. Although I gotta say, he didn't exactly prepare for the worst case scenario, either.

Since he probably used a heavens' blade level dite (assuming this is the top level weapon at this point in time, uberover9000levelentirecontinents type of weapon) for so long, anything worse than one would probably show wear/malfunction/pretty much shatter.

I thought this episode had a more "serious" feel to it, they got the fan service out of the way QUICK and then snuck it back in at the end.
