Episode 1

Well, Sayu's character introduction really is something...

This episode pretty much establish the main premise of the show so far with her taking refuge at Yoshida's home. I noticed she even lets him see her student card. Yoshida is a pretty normal guy imo, with a normal job. It's that his life isn't going to be as normal as before. Sayu is more mysterious but she puts on a smile that is charming.

Very curious to see how this anime will develop their relationship.

Animation looks good and this will be a 1-cour show.

What do you do when your gorgeous co-worker is already spoken for and your best buddy is already married? Get drunk and take in a sexually forward high school girl, that's what! I thought Yoshida was pretty brazen asking Gotou to come to his place when they're not even dating, but that's not the most daring thing he gets involved in .

Sayu is cheeky and has a very well-developed figure for her age, along with some sexy underwear, and she's used to trading her body for a place to stay in the six months she's been a teenage runaway, to where she thinks it's normal for exchanging sex for safety with a bunch of guys. She's lucky she finally stumbled onto a guy with enough decency to not want to sleep with a high school girl and is willing to take care of her until she learns to respect herself and can take care of herself in a proper way .

I guess the ongoing mystery will be why Sayu left home and traveled to Tokyo all the way from Hokkaido. She says her parents are probably happier she's gone, and there's been no missing persons report for her, so it seems like they don't care. But wouldn't like her school be looking for her for truancy or for vanishing? I guess some of the onus is on the parents to still do something about it ?

Well, Yoshida now has a woman in his life with the perks that brings...it just so happens that she's a high school girl and he could probably get arrested for it if he's not too careful .

Props to Yoshida for buying her more clothes and PJ's. Especially when she was sleeping in just a shirt .

It'll be interesting to see what kind of relationship and development occurs between a 26-year old salaryman and a high school girl. Will their relationship blossom into something more despite him not being attracted to her physically and her appreciating everything he's done for her? Will this lead them into healthier, proper, relationships for themselves? Time will tell .

Well that wasn't bad. I feel for the friend early on getting called up just to have his buddy go on a drunken rant about his failed romance. I was initially kind of surprised in general that Gotou was willing to go out on a dinner with Yoshida when she was already dating someone. But meal with a co-worker isn't exactly out there and nothing wrong with building up some friendships at work. Kind of curious to see how that side of things will turn out since they were at least close enough for asking her out to dinner not seeming strange to her.

Sayu has quite a bit of personality, but it could also be masking quite a bit as well. Curious what exactly went down with her family that made her so willing to just run away across the country without much in terms of a long-term plan. Maybe some issues at school as well. Lot has gone wrong, but lucky that she's still alright considering she's been going around the country and temporarily staying with anyone she could find.

The Yoshida and Sayu relationship will be interesting to keep an eye on. Right now in an indistinct space. He's somewhat a guardian, but she's also somewhat a live in maid, and things could go in any given direction. It's also a pretty dangerous situation if the both of them aren't careful about it.

I guess the main problem I had with this was that... Well you see, in doujins, what happens? The two meet and they have sex. Nice.
But this anime decides to spend half its time going "Dang, this is bad. You shouldn't be doing this. I shouldn't be doing that." ...But he does anyways. On top of that, he keeps on referring to her as a JK instead of a girl, which even I don't do inside my head.
So it tries to be the author's wet dream, but at the same time, it tries to have some morals, and that made it really half-hearted, to be honest.

Also, while I was interested in the promise of an older man-younger girl relationship, the protagonist is only 26.

Outside of that, it wasn't bad. Could be an enjoyable and sometimes ecchi romance anime. Not that much can go wrong (or right) with these types of anime.
Just hope there aren't too many moral lectures, and also the protagonist should get arrested in the last episode.

One of the benefits of these series that have long names is that they are supposed to quickly and accurately sum up what the series is about, but they are tricking us now, what's the point?

That's what I was thinking. If it was coworkers, it'd make more sense. But being asked out to dinner just the two of them? If I were her, I'd have made it known up front it would only be platonic. Not like "you know I'm not single right?" more like "Oh, that sounds nice, I just have to check with my (insert significant other classification here) as I think we may be doing something that night". Lets the asker know they should set no expectations without rubbing their nose in it.

Maybe she just wanted to scam a free meal, lol

That's like asking why there are seemingly no therapists in anime .

I think Yoshida probably considered Sayu has her own reasons for running away and not wanting to be around her parents. Obviously they didn't file a missing persons report.

Although even if her parents didn't care, I feel like her school would. Considering she barely has any money and her school uniform is her only outfit, I'm surprised the police never picked her up when it probably looks like she's skipping school unless she only goes out in the evening or night.

Bear in mind high school is not mandatory in Japan, so she's not truant in the legal sense. The school should certainly be asking questions if she simply stopped showing up but she's not legally required to be in school at that age.

If she want her story to be believable, she can just directly say that her family abuse her and she's escaping from them. Since she said "her family would be happier if she were gone", it means she has conflict with her family (like "No!, my family doesn't understand me!, I won't do as you said!") rather than a domestic violence which caused her to run away from home. And her family probably be like "Ah, fine, just go wherever you want!"
