He's already starting to realise just how cute she is... and that's just the beginning.

Well, it was when Kirino finally made him realize that she finally accepts him as a brother "Aniki" that he is starting to see the cute side

It's not too late, Kirino can get close to Kuroneko and steal her sister. Or take Kuroneko as a younger sister and have two imoutos... That would be her dream (or at least her game indicate so)

But I really did wish they put Kirino's face in the LN version and placed it in the Anime, instead of the Tsundere look She was very cute in the LN version. (does this count as talking about something other then the anime?)

If there's one thing they portray right and we're all familiar with, it's how some teenagers like to wear flashy clothes, dye their hair and paint their fingernails. And how they swear that 'expresses' who they are. While I personally believe they must really be boring as a person and desperate to make themselves unique to have to let some fabrics define them, if she's paying for it with her own money it should be fine.
Their father is actually among the more sensible ones that still try to take an active role in their kids' education and know when to step down (at least better than those who ignore their kids all in the good name of liberty). As he saw them try to defend their hobby he must have somewhat realized they are now grown-up and should take some responsibility for their own actions, and conceded even though he doesn't exactly approve of it. He still loves his daughter even if she didn't listen to his advice and dyed her hair. As of ep 3 I find him actually more realistic and likable than the titular heroine, who is in my admittedly biased opinion the very definition of superficiality (both in her choice of clothing and her approach to anime), but luckily harmless. |

More sensible than what? More sensible than a father who whips his children with his belt? That's pretty much anything he's "more sensible" to in comparison.
In more absolute terms, he's hardly sensible at all, the way he does an interrogation with Kirino over such a harmless matter. While he still might care *a little bit* about Kirino (but certainly not more), he's not even remotely sensible with Kyousuke. Don't try to tell me he even gives the slightest damn about Kyousuke, he eventually even punches him.

You can't say he wasn't sensible in his interrogation of +18 material in his 14 year old daughter's possession, I would think it more insensible if he didn't. and the thing with Kyousuke, while the punch may have been a bit much, I'd go with yea he had enough reason to do so, just whether or not one wants to say it was a good enough reason.

The reaction he gave when Kyousuke showed the family album was sorta telling what he thinks. He just cares about his family to much to not let their minds get corrupted over things that taint the majority of people's minds today (Coming from his perspective) But the Kyousuke punch was sorta off... He just dint like how Kyousuke was way into the +18 games possibly?

I might not know where you come from, but a game about incest that has depicted child porn (not including what else might be in that game) is somewhat ... controversial and outright illegal in many places. And it's clearly R18 material. Playing it is arguably not unethical, but you can hardly call it harmless stuff for a minor.
In East Asian families, if you notice, filial piety has always been an important concept. While Kyousuke might be commended for having the balls, does he really have to shout all the time and even threaten his own father with physical violence ? Is that how you persuade your dad? Is that how people get their point across these days ? Assuming it's somewhat effective, the father is fully justified to ask Kyousuke to show some proper respect. But he didn't, he kept the stoic face and listened to what his loud-mouthed kid had to say, that's what surprised me the most because he was supposed to be the old-fashioned type. Only when Kyousuke tried to make a horrible lie and decided to be shameless about it in the most annoying way (while never turning down his volume), did the father reach his limit, punch him and give up altogether. Judge for yourself whether he cares. |

You can tell by Kirino's reaction and answers when Ayase asked her if she was free. Though I personally don't think that Ayase would stop being friends with her if Kirino told her about it or even if Ayase found out by accident. Quote:
To make his dad take notice and fully understand and partially accept what he is talking about, he has to scream like that. Well, that he grabbed his father physically is debatable but it proved to be effective and it was rather intentional than out of anger or not knowing what to do, he also expected getting punched. Or at least he didn't not expect it. If it was his mom, he probably wouldn't have to scream as much. His father is indeed the old-fashioned type but at the same time he is in my eyes also trying to tolerate the next generation's view of things which is very good. My father is actually similar to that (Chinese family). Though I don't exactly get hit, he can still threatens to in certain situations.
