Just give me some time and I might be able to put something better together (not to mention that I installed an English version of CS2 and I'm trying to adapt to the translated command names, some of which are very different from their French equivalents X_X). Bump.
I'm still trying to cope with the PSE2.0>CS2 transition and I came up with this, as I'm still experimenting with the custom brush parameters. Not much thought put into it...especially for the text. I still miss certain user-friendly features from my old PSE2.0, though. *sigh*

I never imagined I'd one day make a Claymore sig. The first scans I saw on Minitokyo were so...monochromatic I almost had the urge to break down and weep uncontrollably. Abundance of white (well, it's perfectly normal since Claymores are albinos because of their nature), both on their features and attire...Jesus. A nightmare.
So I cheated somewhat. 73. Not sure what I'm going to do next, though. I'm still trying to regain some variety in my GFX-making, which is no easy task knowing I've been on a hiatus for a while already and I'm really feeling out of touch with my old PS techniques.

I really like that Claymore sig ^_^ I actually also never try to make Claymore sigs since I'm not sure how I'd approach it, but I think you did an excellent job.
Anyways, I'm surprised I never noticed your thread before, but I really like your works, especially the ones in Batch III (yay for a fellow guild wars fan, you should make one for rangers )

Textwork is one of my BIG problems - it's either hit or miss, just like that. I ended up sticking to Arial (Narrow), Tahoma, Agency FB, Splendid ES, Dreamscar, Fire of Ysgard or Dreaming of Lilian because all other 'exotic' fonts yielded weird effects once put in place. So I tried to downplay the whole thing and make it as simple as possible.
And, indeed, I do make busy sigs. I often envision sigs as sorts of 'pictures' or 'snapshots' of a certain situation/event...much like a painting, if you want - hence why I often try to make overly realistic bgs like clouds, water, foliage, etc...the reasoning behind being that all the detail must at least be worth the final result, to make up for the lack of negative space. But, yes, indeed, one does get tired of it in the long run. For the They Are My Noble Masters (and Natose) fans out there, here's some candy for you! Right off the oven! 74. Terms of use are the same as before. EDIT: 75.

^ Well, since you asked so nicely...
76. 77. If anyone's wondering, the character in the second sig is Souichirou Nagi from Tenjou Tenge, using his Magabarai ('Demon Exorcist') form. And, yes, it's textless for now...I almost wrote 'Shinichirou' instead of 'Souichirou' and ruined the whole thing...T_T

Yeah, I know - I was too 'enthusiastic' when trying to make that skull brush pop out (after all, it seemed the best type of backdrop to flow along with Oh! Great's style) using both g-blurred, dark background layers and sharpen filters. In the end I made it as sharp as the render but I might fix it later on, as I still haven't slapped a text on the sig.
78. 79. - Textless for now. 80. And, yeah, it looks I'm having font and textwork issues AGAIN. -_-;; Jesus, can't they leave me alone for once in my lifetime?

Wow I love your sigs. Really nice style. I got interested in making sigs 2-3 years ago (look at my noob sig and avatar lol) but then some stuff came up and i didnt touch photoshop since then. Now im getting a little interested in making some wallpapers of my fav characters.. but this stuff is not so easy
Keep it up! |
