But its a shame on the anime that scene is very simple and lack of GAR will make you not poured the "Manly Tears" like on the manga |

This series is easily the greatest work of art in the history of mankind. That is all I can say.

The guy plays with uranium mahjong tiles, also after being electrocuted he puts on a new suit and has a cup of tea then proceeds to duel Richard Wagner.

I think I was blinded by the GAR and EPIC WIN for 7 minutes.
Yes, this is what I'm waiting for. Pure, over-the-top, sheer awesomeness that is the Magic Hax Mahjong, and this time, WITHOUT the useless moe fanservice of Saki. I mean PM Koizumi just got shot in the chest, slammed down a Thirteen Orphans on the first round, hopped on a jet and deflected a nuclear missile and came out looking like he had a good park stroll. Best leader in the world. |

I'm sad that Koizumi didn't voice himself, supposedly he actually is a fan of anime or something, at least that's what he once said in a speech.
It says something about Koizumi's rock star status in Japan that before the decade was out after he stepped down as Prime Minister that his party (LDP), which had ruled virtually uninterrupted since the formation of the post-war nation, was handed a decisive defeat by the opposition DPJ for the first time in it's history. Koizumi is a lot like Bill Clinton in the sense that after he and Clinton's terms as party leaders (and national leaders) ended, their parties were left adrift and directionless and soon after sent to crushing defeat because they became the embodiment of their respective parties. |

Actually has anyone noticed the anime is going to go into its own original plotline?
Seeing as they changed the entire plot of the episode (I was looking forward to Forever Love playing :/), skipped the Koizumi vs George W. Bush and Papa Bush stories and brought in the Chinese Premier who hasn't featured in the manga yet. Still heres hoping to seeing Koizumi eventually getting to face off against Pope Benedict and Space Hitler.

One aspect that they changed, for which I am glad for, is the removal of the cheating. It kinda dampens the effect when you know a victory was won through cheating. Akira's best matches were the one where he won through psychology, and not through cheating, imo.
Cheers.
