I have an idea about how to do this, but I'm not sure whether it's worth doing now or after the upgrade. I was thinking of replacing the current spoiler button with a new button that asks you what sort of content will be within the tags and then automatically uses the right tag for the situation. I'm not sure exactly how to best integrate such a thing into vBulletin code, but it should be doable in concept... Anyway, it's on the To Do List, for sure.
I think this could get pretty complicated pretty quick. I mean, in a simplistic world, you might say someone could choose to have spoiler tags auto-open if they really don't care about spoilers and want to see them. But reality is that people may want to see spoilers for one show and not for others, so having it auto-open globally may not really be what they want. Same thing with the images tag; someone may want large images to open automatically in images threads, but not in other threads. Or maybe someone might want images to auto-open on their desktop/laptop, but not on their mobile phone or something. So I guess it'd have to be thought through, and the implementation would have to be really clear/understandable, otherwise I wonder if people just won't use it (thus it'd be pointless to do all the work).

The new images tag works like the spoiler one, difference being that the image will not load until you click to open it.
Like the spoiler tag, you still need to include the [IMG][/IMG] tag inside for it to work:

I found something rather unusual about this post (on this page) I made a while back (it only seems to be this one post)...
What it should look like (this is how it looks on my IE9 and Chrome 21.0.1180.89): What it looks like on Firefox 15.0 (and a few previous versions IIRC): The inner tags still load normally, however. Doing a force (bypass cache) refresh (Ctrl + F5)... it can only be described as "reverse loading", whereby the images apparently disappear for whatever reason. The issue also doesn't seem to happen everytime either, it seemed to work when using the [post] link, or clicking "edit" to load the quick editor and then cancelling (but the "reverse loading" thing occurs when you refresh).

In other news, I haven't had a chance to investigate/test the bug reported above, but hopefully we'll get the chance to look into that soon.

I tried restarting Firefox 15 in safe mode (with all add-ons disabled), and it briefly worked... until I refreshed the page. I briefly tried Aurora as well (Firefox 17.0a2), same thing happened... I keep ABP on most of the time, even when browsing here, but this is the only post where this issue is occurring.

Uh did something happen to these tags were showing up fine for me for months, but today regardless of type none of them want to load saying "Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?" (Reloading the page doesn't fix it like it normally would).
Edit: it seems to have fixed itself...

I've found what seems to be a problem with the TLDR tag. When I attempt to use words with diacriticals (like blasé) , the end tag is ignored and the text is chopped off past the diacritical.
Example: Pull up the raw text and notice the missing text.
