I honestly wonder if its going to still be following Ledo, I feel like his story was over so I got to think that while the setting will still obviously be on the Gargantia, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a whole new cast in a different time but with a lot of the same style and world structure.

For me it's to early to tell if this second season is going to come either as another TV series or a movie.
However, I digress continuing the story, at least Ledo's. His journey is done. The plot for the first series is self-concluding the way it was told, developed, and ended. |

I'm certain that as soon as definitive or even reasonable speculative information regarding start date is circulated, someone will post something here. For now, I work under the assumption that no news is just that: no news.

SAO wasn't a film, it was just a long recap with a new episode. If these are truly OVAs, which means you have to physically purchase them via either mail-in or in-store, then no, Crunchyroll will not have them. And since they're only two episodes, I'm about 70% sure that they will be true OVAs and not TV specials.
