Loved Hanyuu's eyes. I think Horie Yui could do with a stronger voice though. She didn't sound angry enough when compared to Takano, but I still loved the coin sequence though.
As much as I feel sorry for Takano's past, the thought of her laugh still makes me want to burn her. Her seiyuu is awesome to bring such hatred out of me, good job! Can't wait for the next episode, as usual. I preview would be nice too. |

Some thoughts:
This episode was too sharp in contrast with last week in term of quality. Much like Rias already pointed out, Hifumi and some men had very very unbalanced design, and they were often getting a HUGE body and/or a tiny head. It was beyond ridiculous sometimes... see by yourself : animation was also very choppy at times... when Miyoko runs like crazy, or in the "don't step on them!" scene. Seriously, this episode was nearly as budget as episode 12. The BGM were kinda lackluster, and didn't got enough emphasis of some dramatic twists and all. I wasn't expecting game BGM anyway, but in this episode, the tracks weren't really as good as previously. OTOH, the pace was really nice, and of course, the last scene was really powerful. Speaking of this scene, Even though hanyuu was definitely angry, she was not overboard or enraged. I believe Horie Yui did do a sufficient job in her "angry yet confident" hanyuu, instead of simply yelling and going panzer. I think Hanyuu in this scene must NOT go completely angry, as it is absolutely not exactly how she is feeling. She has hostility, yes, but considering her usual temper and her objective, she isn't bloodthirsty towards Takano. 8/10 in my books. (yes, the quality deducted like 1.5 point)

After watching yet another chunk of 34's past, it was really nice to have that moment at the end. It made for a very nice segue into what will be Takano's bitter memories versus Hanyuu's bitter memories.
Best scene of the season, I'd say. |

Nothing out of the oridinary...they do have to explain about the truth behind all 5 year's incident, and of course the pieces that leads up to them.
Only one thing I thought they would skip was Spoiler for Kakera Musubi:

i will never ever forget that last scene ... ... not even if i'm stuck in hopeless worlds for a endless loop
hanyuu~♪ hanyuu~♪ she's usually so harmless and cute~~ a useless spirit that likes desserts~~ isn't it unexpected that she can be resolute and tough?? if i didn't play sound novel i'd be really shocked!! |
