Today, I received another letter from ai sp@ce site.
It said if one buys some nico-nico points he or she can immidiately log in to the game. So, I went to point.nicovideo.jp and filled in the forms. But to my regret, the site doesn't want to accept my MasterCard. Other than that, the card is 100% functional. Today I paid all the bills with it. Do they really accept payments only from japan? That could be a problem if the game required occasional payments for various services. And they seem to collaborate heavily with nico-nico.

Nico nico actually accepts webmoney for payment. I actually think that it's rather strange to ignore credit cards but perhaps Japanese guys are still fans of their sakoku - 鎖国. So, webmoney is very easy to use, as it turns out. I immidiately got an account. No personal information is asked except for your email address, and then you're free to use it at your convenience. http://www.webmoney.jp/ Normally, the funds could be added to the account with your credit card. But then again, it's the same as nico-nico. No foreigners are allowed. But there are prepaid cards just for that. Again, normally one could buy them perhaps at family mart but Japan is rather far from my place (6 hour difference) so it's better to get the card online. They are actually sold at various places with a slight overcharge to the face value. As for ai sp@ce, I have alrealy logged in. It works great. But you need a fast pc for it. My new super modern Sony Vaio handles it rather slowly. I also tried the halloween gachapon. Each try costs 300 real yen so this sort of gamble is quite expensive. Other than that, the number of people online is close to zero at this time of the day. But anyways, I suggest we meet online. Anyone interested?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2..._EFT/error.jpg This is the message I receive whenever I try to play the game. Has someone run into the same problem? Can someone translate for me please? Thanks |

I currently have Vista and DirectX 10.
Edit: The problem indeed seems to be my version of DirectX, even the game specs indicates 9.0c. However I tried to install 9.0c, but it won't work. The help menu says that DirectX 10 is the minimum for Vista. Anyone knows a way to downgrade my version of DirectX or patching it? Last edited by Mister Bushido; 2008-11-12 at 00:26. |

I've checked the official site.
http://aisp.jp/home.html Now the game is open to anyone absolutely for free. Mister Bushido As far as I know, windows vista contains both direct x 9 and 10. Or rather, the latest version of direct x already contains the previous ones. So, basically, you don't have to downgrade anything. You might want to switch to japanese settings just in case. Though I'm not sure if it can solve the directx problem. http://www.microsoft.com/japan/windo...x/default.mspx Direct x can be downloaded from MS site. However, I should say that I personally didn't install anything, the game just works from the start. I personally use my Sony laptop with vista and the game works perfectly with this. Meanwhile, today I faced considerable slow downs in the game. Apparently, it is due to high number of visitors. For example, you can't normally watch tv - the video doesn't show up.

I tried switching the language, but it didn't work either.
I have heard that other people with Vista have been able to play it, so having DirectX 10 shouldn't be the problem. My only lead on what is going on is the error message. Can someone recommend me a site where I can get the error message translated? |

btw, does the installer/client of ai sp@ce includes directx9.c? if it does and you accidentally installed it then that might be your problem. Quote:

The message literally means this: “Cannot run the client due to the fact that the necessary runtime library of DirectX is not installed” Aceptar (=accept/ = mi espanol es muy mal) Looks like you'll have to reinstall your directx, after all.

in any case should this "要" be the right character? "要なDirectXランタイムライブラリインストールされていないためクライアントを起動できま せん" there's also a chracter before that but i can't see it clearly. Anywho, mine is still updating.. i'll go to sleep after it finishes and leave the rest for tomorrow. - no problems so far.. |

Updating? Usually it requires a few minutes for current updates. And the total size is 1,3 gb. It used to be 2 and a half. By the way, you got an interesing layout. I still didn't come up to experiments with interface. Quote:
But I liked the way you interpreted it (with yume). A dream to get DirectX working... By the way, maybe we could meet online? I decided to stay in Shuffle! island but so far I only played for a few hours and I spent quite some time talking to a japanese person. I guess it would be interesting to actually start doing quests. There's an emply apartment to firnish and a girl to dress up. Also there's a thing called ai tune. I think I need a guide of sorts. I'm terrible at japanese and checking up every second word in the dictionary is not the best way to spend your time.

I'm having a problem with the game where if I try going to the apartment, I hit a black screen. After that, subsequent attempts to log in with my character kicks me back to the login screen, and I can't do anything else without deleting and restarting the character. Any suggestions?
