i remember when 1st season aired it got slightly ahead of the english translation of the LN by the end. i've gone back to check and gosh it have already been 3 years... if they keep up the pace of s1 they will come right back and english translation which is now pretty much up to date with the japanese release... meaning no more content for s2 for another 3 years.
well regarding the episode, the was a lot of weird/cute face from sei so i'm happy <3 |

Honestly I think it was a good call to open up the show with that dangerous situation. Obviously Sei is going to be fine. But considering how relaxed this episode was, you do need a bit of promise that things will get interesting as we go!
This episode reminded me of how much everything really got resolved last season. Sei's life is super relaxed and free of trouble. Honestly her biggest issue is her overwhelming popularity and potential to create chaos by bringing out modern products that will blow everyone's minds. She's pretty much become a big business owner overnight here! Nothing bad with that of course. She did put in the effort to establish her comfortable lifestyle. Things started off pretty badly for her after all. I feel bad though that outside of Hawke and Sei, I can barely remember who anyone is in this show . I know there was that other girl who was summoned but basically didn't have much going for her (in comparison to Sei's talents), but that's about it.

Fortunately there is a manga-only spinoff, The Other Saint, that focuses on the other girl's adventures. https://sevenseasentertainment.com/s...r-saint-manga/ |

Poor Sei. Dreaming of Hawke coming with her on her trip to Morgenhaffen, her resting on his shoulder, and getting woken up by his soft and pleasant voice as she looks at him so longingly...only he didn't actually come with her. Not that Sei is ever lacking in male companionship, but girl is down bad for Hawke .
Sei in disguise! She looks great in glasses, but not half-bad in an auburn wig either! And of course it just turns into an excuse for Sei and Hawke to blatantly flirt even more around Johann and Jude . Dang, that leg looks pretty bad! Figures Sei couldn't just ignore someone in need, though giving a top tier potion is a lot less conspicuous than using her Saint healing magic...even if it still gets her more attention than she'd like . Ceyran, voiced by Shinichiro Miki! Hailing from the land of Zaidera! He obviously wants to repay Sei for her help, and what better way than by providing what she was after this whole time AND at a discount? Because not only do they have miso of all things but RICE! Sei is so overcome with emotion she Naruto runs after it like a bloodhound . (So is Zaidera supposed to be this worlds' equivalent of Japan? Doesn't quite feel like it .) Aira! Figures Sei would want to let her fellow Japanese know she's rediscovered the cooking of their homeland, and Yuri wants to check it out for himself (and continues to have an issue with personal space). Oh, and Hawke's brother is here too . Cooking with Sei! Johann really wants his Japanese cuisine, huh ? It kind of figures that as Sei gains more prominence and recognition that the likelihood that more people would want to marry her for her status...which is why Hawke can't just sit on his laurels and might have to really make a move on Sei soon . Ceyran is after whoever made that potion? And already letting the Imperial Majesty of Zaidera know? Yeah, that's probably going to be a headache for Sei in the future . The ED is pretty simple and sweet with a pleasant theme and nice illustrations of the cast. I love Sei in that dress !

I love how they handwave Hawke wearing a disguise to go along without explaining why he couldn't just do that. I mean this isn't exactly modern Earth. I'm sure most people don't know what Hawke looks like in the first place and a disguise would resolve that.
But I guess since this is sort of a harem series they do need to take the main dude out of the picture for a while to let Sei flirt with other people. At least they are noting that Sei is going to get some serious focus in the future. Hawke needs to step up and make his move. Obviously Sei's interest in him will help even if he doesn't. But it's still a good idea. Good for Sei and Aira that they get some familiar food to enjoy. And seems like Aira is doing ok overall. Still kind of sucks that she got dragged into this summoning without quite the same insane powers as Sei, but that's how life goes I guess.

I don't know if that's something I'm supposed to question or just roll with but I find it weird that Empire has the exact same food as Japan (miso in particular, the rest is admittedly stuff you could find elsewhere in our world). Could there have been a previous Saint there?

Sei always wants to just live a quite, relaxed, life...but she can't escape her status as the Saint, which means not only attending a public debut like she's a debutante but also a ball! What's a girl to do ?
Although knowing Hawke will be there certainly perks her up, especially when she' fantasizing about him asking her out as her escort...and he does it! Nice to see these two flirting behind closed doors for once ! Sei rocking those holy robes! She also looked amazing in that dress. She should feel more confident in her attractiveness and beauty, especially when she can get Hawke so flustered at seeing her. Then again, he does the same to her. I love the maid squad blushing at the handsome couple . Liz! It's great to have her back, and she even brought Rayne, the second prince! Who is all charm compared to his older brother. Although it shows how far Sei has come that she totally even forgot how much of a dick the first prince was to her at first . What's more romantic than ballroom dancing with the one you love and everyone getting to see how great you look together? Especially when Hawke pulls Sei in close and they stare into each others' eyes. It was the perfect dance . As awkward and as tense as Sei could get, it's probably a good idea to keep her away from any strange men who would want their shot at dancing with her. So while it's weird to see Johan all dressed up, it's good to have people Sei knows dancing with her to keep her occupied since she can't dance with Hawke again (unfortunately). They even manage to rope in Yuri and Hawke's brother! It's almost like Sei has a Harem ! Sei, it's a tea party girl talk with Liz and Aira. You can admit your favorite dance was with Hawke. Liz and Aira probably already know anyways . Sei basically just jinxed herself talking about how peaceful things have been and how convenient the Royal Palace has made things by warding off all the people that want a piece of her. What's next? A new miasma spike or Ceyran finding her ?

According to anime website's interview, the creator's main theme is love and fate between Sei and Albert. So, there are going to be more recurring events. She also said Sei's prototype was her former colleague when she worked at an IT company. Her dream was to open a coffee-shop-library. So, Sei experiments on different snacks for her menu.

Oh hey, Chiaki Kobayashi as Prince Ten'yuu of Zaidera! Always fun hearing him, especially in unexpected shows !
A visiting prince from another nation? Well, probably better to err on the side of caution and not have him see Salutania's Saint up close. Even if that means taking Sei away from her job and her beloved plants. Poor Jude really got his hopes up that Sei treasured his companionship, but she'll just miss her plants . Well, the cat's kind of out of the bag if the prince is from Zaidera. This is definitely about Sei's healing potions . Of course the medieval fantasy school has a student council. I wonder if being the president and vice-president is part of why Liz and Rayne are so chummy ? Sei really thought she had mentally prepared herself for Hawke's smooth flirting and winning smile up until a maid comments on how her concealing veil makes her look like a bride and Hawke just rolls with it as he leads her on as her groom. Sei just cannot win against him . One Emperor with seven concubines? That's a lot. Good thing Sei can count on Hawke being a one-woman man, right Liz ? Of course the day after she comes back Ten'yuu finds her, and he's definitely very cunning and knowledgeable, and immediately ascertains how important Sei is even if he's not aware she's the Saint (or is he?). Either way, it seems like he was definitely there to find Sei . I hope this risky maneuver Ten'yuu is talking about doesn't involve kidnapping Sei to Zaidera .
