Maybe the mystery man with the mask was Narita (author of Baccano! and Durarara! and in good terms with Omori as far as I remember), which is onteresting, too, and probably more fun and shounen-ish to watch (if this is about a superhero, at least).
In any case, I'm in, too, because I like how this director works since years ago. |

^Thanks!
The article uses "ikemen" three times... It's all rather vague, but apparently it's an original anime about the adventures of a self-styled hero (the guy in red, he's "Samurai Flamenco") and a young police officer (the other guy). Plot points include Samurai Flamenco's reasons for being a hero, there will be smartphones and bicycles and machine guns, and perhaps some women, too. I'm getting slight Tiger & Bunny vibes, but I'm sure they wouldn't want to be too similar to it. |

Unfortunately shows with misleading titles such as this show are pretty common in anime (with most of them done for the sake of looking stylish, as Japanese people often find English-looking gibberish to be cool), and the same goes for shows with annoying lengthy titles in the form of a long title in recent trends.

I see, I said "misleading" for a lack of better words, I'm talking about the show titles that have nothing to do with the associated themes besides being done for aesthetic reasons such as the case for Samurai Flamenco's superhero identity, but I'm sorry about that.

Isnt there dude with katana in the background,he seems like a superhero samurai.
Anyways I like the retro tokusatsu feel of trailer, hopefully they will try to make tokusatsu that doesnt take it self seriously. That certainly seems the way it will go. Last edited by RollingPenguin; 2013-08-08 at 15:51. |

They have updated the official site: http://www.samumenco.com/
There's a larger and clearer image of the one above (also another one, by Kurahana Chinatsu), chara descriptions, etc. And the official twitter is kind of adorable. I really can't wait for this show. |
