I hated the Blade movies and this anime probably sucks too.
Blade in the movies is NOTHING like the way Blade is in the comics. The Wesley Snipes' Blade is just a stereotypical militant Black guy who can't talk, gives stupid one-liners, acts cool and thuggish sometimes. Just stupid. While Blade in the comics is one of the most diverse and interesting characters you'll see. In the comics he is actually a very nice guy, a very easy-going and humorous guy who is actually friendly, and not stand-offish or selfish. Granted, he's not like Spider-Man or Fantastic Four where he will go and save people, but he's good enough to lend a hand if he's around. He only gets blood through a certain vendor (don't remember if it was artificial blood), but he definitely doesn't go after innocent citizens. He is easily one of the most underrated Marvel characters, but I thought he was really ruined in the movies. The first film was ok actually, but it just got worse and worse. |

He even made a joke to the guy he just saved from vampires. This anime is more geared towards the comic than the movie, Decon Frost in the anime proves that. |

Except for the $hitty explode effect when Blade slashes fools, I'm pleasantly surprised...I like that Blade has shonen special moves and I like the gritty animation for the most part...Reminds me of some late 90's stuff in parts, which for me is a good thing...The VA's seem exceptional IMO, especially Blade and Frost...
I hope we get to see more high speed fighting though because that first mini-fight where Frost owned the $hit out of Blade was tight...I'm also enjoying the origin aspect to the series where we're actually doing more than just table-setting with Blade's backstory...Also, unlike the other Marvel shows, it doesn't appear as if the infusing of Japan into the storyline is being forced...Frost was in japan, so Blade went there, no big ball of bull$hit...Atleast not yet...

Apart of the cheesy animation stills.. I actually kinda like the title too. I've never really read any marvel comic apart from the early xman title, so its kinda coming in with empty knowledge and no really biased opinion.. so kinda like how the title plays out as far as 4 episodes gone.

It's sad the post count on this show, but by now I know alot of people are like, damn can't believe this $hit's pretty good....I dare say the best plotted story so far of all the Marvel crossovers...What I like the most is the character depth in this show is off the charts, especially for Blade...I'm learning alot of $hit about him I never knew...We gotta keep talking and get this show outta the coffin...
