Great ep - if there's anything this arc should be known for, its the excellent large scale battles. And Asemu's pure hotblooded rage in pwning Desil is just sheer awesome.
Looks like next ep is a colony drop? This arc is going out with a bang.

Desil, what an asshole taking over his comrades machines and getting them killed. Oh well, at least he managed to take out Woolf who was long overdue.
Next up probably Zant on the Vagan side. The guy hasn't learned that making plans for after the war = certain death. His wife will have to grow old without him.

What did you do! Obright. You shouldn't talk with who you love and promise come back to marry her before you are going to battle.
70% death flag. 30% come back like a hero. Super in this case isn't supernatural power, it means extreme of normal. Desil coudn't read Asems mind because Asem was empty at that time. Asem figth by reflex action from training hard. v v Last edited by erapath; 2012-04-08 at 10:13. |

Bitter about Seed mode? :P Anyway, if he's always super, then that's, hmmm... he's in climax from the start up to the end? I don't necessarily need like a Seed mode effect thingy, at least the green flash for x-rounders or the sudden head getting sparked ( I don't know how to put it to words, sorry bout that :P ) in the case of newtypes.

It is even implied that Zeheart actually intentionally got his brother killed...I like the darker portrayal of Zeheart, giving him more character.
Woolf's death is as expected though, but it's still sad. He believes in Asemu until the very end. I love Asemu pwning Desil. Super pilot is awesome and the BGM kicks ass!

I thought that was quite smart of Zeheart, use Desil to do as much damage as possible, in this case he killed Woolf, and then let him die. It was obvious Desil was completely insane and more of a hindrance to the whole operation. He needed to be dealt with.

Btw did anyone else notice how Flit has pretty much gone the deep end now? He's just a couple irrational decisions from fully becoming Patrick Zala 2.0.
let's see: 1- dehumanizes the enemy 2- says he's going to wipe them all out 3- claims to be fighting for humanity 4- has a God/savior complex 5- uses giant beam of doom all that's left for him is to fire that beam on his own troops just to take out a couple Vagan units, or cause a massive catastrophe like dropping a colony or something like that, and the transformation will be complete.

I think your trying too hard to paint Flit as some genocidal maniac. And for the record, you are aware that the Vagans massacred his family in front of his eyes and toyed with his first love right? He didn't just wake up one day and said, "i hate all Vagans" Plus he's the main character. I have a feeling it may go the way of Saji where in the end his grandson will pull through for everyone. |

How does stop fighting the Vagan help with anything?
So far they are the aggressors and Flint has been on the defensive and I doubt the EF would actually send an expedition to Mars. |

This episode he says something along these lines: I'm gonna wipe out all the Vagans because they're trying to destroy humanity. You think that's a healthy mindset to have? Regardless of his personal loss 40 years ago, things are never that black and white. An eye for an eye leaves the world blind etc.

Well it's not helping the Vagan Cause when they ARE trying to destroy humanity.
Granted there's probably something else going on but until then they are attacking the Earth Sphere, destroying colonies, terrorizing the population, and invading Earth for their own. I do find it funny that so far we've yet to see what Earth looks like LOL In this case he's on the road as Saji was where he probably will find out there's another third party in it but I doubt he would go into sacrificing troops and civilians (by that I mean using human shields as that would be a huge insult to Yurin). And that operation in the colony doesn't count as he was looking to get in there and finish it quickly before it escalated which Asemu refused to do and his hestitation resulted in more collateral damage. |
