some of the takahashi pair ups (Inuyasha/Kagome, Ranma/Akane, Yusaku/Kyoko, and Lum/Ataru...wait a minute that's ALL the main pair ups..) don't seem like they'd be good for each other (aside from Kyoko and Yusaku, but that was so mindboggling obvious from the outset...even more so than Ranma and akane)
i'm still wondering what fascination Takahashi (and her readers, which sadly includes me) has with love triangles?

My vote goes to Chidori & Sousuke from Full Metal Panic for their obvious chemistry Kekeke, love Chidori's goofy laughter whenever she tries to deny she has a thing for Sousuke

It's more a self-made theme she had imposed upon every story she decides to do...that's how she was during her high school days, and her man-ken eras selling doujinshis at Comike. You see it early as her first six-episode short story "DUST SPART."

But it's not always the case, as she is also capable of doing very modern-day themes cynical to problems of modern day Japan...just like in Rumic Theater.

Whoa my gawd! I didn't think anyone would respond with my favorite couple before me!

Nike and Kukuri are soooo cute. They seem to be the best of friends too.

-k

Mahoujin Guru Guru is surprisingly good, one of the best animes I've seen in a long time. I seed the last 3 batches whenever I'm not downloading something new. Go get it!!!

since I've just recently seen Full Metal Panic for the first time... I will be biased... I'm gonna have to say Sagara and Kaname... those two can create some pretty good comedy scenes... I'm gonna have to give props to the writers... cuz those were some of the funniest scenes I've seen in anime... that couple works really well in comedic situations...

FMP! and FMP? Fumoffu have some pretty nice couples showing up near the end of the series, but I guess Sagara and Kaname make for a nice, creative pair.

Pretty much any anime featuring a romance storyline with an unlikely or off-center couple make for good matches: Ex: Mononoke Hime, with Ashitaka and San, RK, with Koaru and Kenshin (though I'm a big Megumi fanboy! )and the outcomes of many bishoujos.
